Hello everyone!
I hope you've all had ( still having ) a lovely weekend! Good losses stacking up!
Annoyingly, I've posted 2 posts recently which seem to have disappeared, I don't think the wifi was good enough to upload! Was just pitching in with nando's / Pilates / football chat so nothing too groundbreaking!! :rotfl:
Update for me is, we've arrived in the land down under! Arrived in Cairns a couple of days ago, we've hired a wee camper van, it's got a double bed, table chair area, fridge, cupboard with utensils and a 2 stove gas burner! It's gonna see us through 5 weeks from Cape Trib down the East coast to Sydney ( maybe further). Got a few trips booked in, Whitsunday Islands, Magnetic and Fraser Island so won't be always in the camper van.
I'm excited, but also apprehensive as the longest I've ever 'camped' out has been 4 days, so we will see what happens!!
I'm looking forward to COOKING again! I know that sounds weird! hoping to be able to have really good food choices as we'll be in control of cooking etc!
Camping recipes would be most welcome!
DH's B'day 2m so will probably not eat in the camper, but he LOVES camping so if I just go him a steak and a 6 pack, he'll probably love it! :rotfl:
Would someone mind checking for me if rice paper wrappers are free? I know we're not sticking to plan 100%, but we love Vietnamese style spring rolls and seem like an easy camper meal! Lots of speed too!
11 hours ahead of you lovely lot now, so apologies if I get days / time mixed up!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and if you've had a mare - tomorrow is a new day :j0 -

The only thing I can find are spring roll wrappers that are 2 syns each. They're made from rice flour so probably much the same.
For the drive down the east coast, suggest taking the scenic routes whenever you see them signposted. Particularly in the stretch heading down to Sydney as the new highway has been built for speed so is away from the coast and not the most interesting route. The scenic routes are often the old highways that follow the coastline. Much prettier scenery. I used to live along that stretch, about five hours north of Sydney.0 -
Cheese - just checked Blue Dragon Spring Roll rice wrappers - 2 syns each. Love your trip updates. We have family doing a 2-3 month trip - first stop was Abu Dhabbi and just read this morning they have just arrived in Bali (life is so so hard
) and then I think they are heading to Hong Kong in few days. They are going to Oz for family wedding. Enjoy the camper van
Reporting a couple of NSVs this morning people - the size 12 leggings from Sainsbob fit :j:j:j - the first size 12 hanger in my wardrobe. I know they are probably a big fit but still. Last week when I was sorting wardrobe I uncovered a size 30  - needless to say it found its way into the bin. :rotfl:.
The other NSV - we were out the other day with family and there were 5 people in car (only a small car) so we needed 3 in the back - I was one of them :j. Previously I would have had to sit in front as the botty would have been too wide. Gave me a little bit of a glow.
Lovely to see you popping in Whiplashy and greent.
'Interesting' is one word to describe Scan Bran Rebster :rotfl:
Got stuff on fleabay this weekend so will have to sort that later.

Faced the dreaded scales! I was pretty much spot on with my 3 stone estimate....2st 13.5lbs to get back to target  I've signed up online but I'm just going to behave myself today rather than stick to plan. I need to work out the plan and go shopping!Welcome back
You could do the :money: thing - save your money and ask us all the questions you need to, we don't charge! A few of us here are going it alone, myself included, and it is possible with all the information available FOC on line.

ThanksI know I could have. Everyone has always been really helpful here before, but I lent my books to someone before and never got them back  I'm struggling to remember what foods are superfree! And I do find it more motivating if I've had to pay out for it.
First of many stupid questions......I have a few weight watchers frozen chicken curries. I've checked the syns online and they're 4.5 each. For me that's a complete meal. Do I have to add superfree to it? It feels like I'd then be overeating in order to stick to plan! I do remember reading before that beans on toast is a complete meal so there's no real need to add superfree.Back on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18

Delighted to hear the trip's still going well cheese. I can understand you looking forward to some cooking. While I'm no domestic goddess I get pleasure from making good, healthy meals.:)First of many stupid questions......I have a few weight watchers frozen chicken curries. Glad you've drawn a line and now you're back on plan. I know Lantanna will empathise with putting some back on after illness and surgery.
The curry (or the beans on toast) wouldn't be a meal on Extra Easy as you're meant to have a third Speed food BUT....I always look at my third Speed across a day rather than for each individual meal. So if the curry is enough for you (I checked and other than some tomato in the sauce there's very little Speed in the recipe) then just make sure other meals in the day are full of Speed or, if you're a snacker, have fruit between meals. I often have beans on toast for breakfast with no Speed but I probably have at least 50% Speed veg with my lunch and dinner to balance it out. HTH.
Thanks for the info. on the snackpots rebster. It's useful to know what's available ready-made low syn as it's not always possible to cook from scratch. Lush was asking for savoury snacks just the other day. Sorry to hear the pub was disappointing. I eat out a lot and I'm always cross if the food's not at least as good as I can do at home.
HB steaks were absolutely delicious last night. I'm always amazed that such fantastic gravy/sauce is virtually free. How do you make your onion gravy denise?
EE plan for today:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: 2 HM fishcakes, pickles and bowl of lentil & veg soup if I'm hungryroast chicke, SW parsnips and potatoes, cauli, broccoli and swede/carrot mash (if I get round to making it)
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, gravy, maybe stuffing and weekend wine:).0 -
Wi gained as expected
line drawn
Been using Actipatch since Friday evening - bit of a weird feeling as pain gone but still aware of it if you know what I mean. Moving much more freely but still gingerly just 'in case'. Slept like the Princess and the pea as in slightly uncomfortable being aware of it rather than it being painful ( hope you know what I mean and I'm not just talking jibberish as usual :rotfl:)
Tomorrow will tell as back to work, refusing to sit on the floor though. The 2 days at the SRB may be a problem as we do a lot of sitting on the floor.
Have a good weekend all :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Maman - there's a syn free red onion gravy on the SW website but I find it a bit convoluted so do it slightly differently.
Cook some sliced onions until soft in Frylight. Make up a beef stock pot with about 100ml of water and add to the cooked onion. Add a squirt of tom puree if you like and some balsamic vinegar and boil for about 5 minutes.
You can add some extra water if it's too thick or boil it a bit longer if it's too thin.
