Star week bloat has set in today (sorry if TMI) so my 20lb target is looking wayyy too optimistic at the minute. :rotfl: I may reset it back down to the 13lb if I still feel rough in a few days.
Made the SW shepherd's pie last night and was not a fan. I usually make it from leftover roast meat which is lovely, but used mince as per the recipe instead. Even after draining as much fat off as I could, it still felt way too fatty. I hate the greasy mouth feel of animal fats, so always avoided them even pre-SW days. I may actually ditch the leftovers, that's how much I disliked it!
Today...
Breakfast - Arla, berries, grapenuts and coffee (1/2 A, B1)
Lunch - Chicken and goats cheese salad (1/2 A)
Dinner - Oriental pork with greens
Pudding - B2 and syns as usualThe_Cheese wrote: »Still struggling with my HExA+B - options are quite limited out here, don't drink milk, cheese is almost non-existent and the bread is all mainly baguettes or sweet coconut or banana bread. What I'd give for a salted caramel HiFi bar :rotfl:
So I've not having them but I don't think this is advisable??
I don't remember where you are, but what about some of the non-bread B choices? Not going to type out the whole list but cereals, crispbreads, dried/canned/cooked fruit, nuts and seeds? If any of those are easy for you to obtain and sound of interest, we can go into them further.
The A is only for calcium, so if you can get enough through other forms (e.g. yogurt, leafy greens, etc) I wouldn't worry about it that much. I'm not really a milk or cheese fan either, so I've always disliked how short the A list is!0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Todays menu:
B - 2 x hifi (heb), clementine
L - spicy lentil soup, activia
S - 2 x choc rice cakes (5), banana
D - Tuna pasta bake (hea), ff greek yoghurt, berries, 2 mini meringues (2) syn free lemon curd if I can muster the energy to make it!
E - kitkat (5.5), jelly (0.5)
Can really recommend the spicy lentil soup from the website. I did it in the soup maker so lost the texture of the lentils, but it had a lovely flavour.0 -

I find a lot of the recipes need to be twiddled with and syn free alterations.
A lot of the sauces can be watery etc.0 -
Weighed in this morning and had a very disappointing 3.5 gain
Having lost 1 1/2lb last week, I'm struggling to understand why the huge change
However, a line has been drawn and I've just eaten my lunch of egg fried rice (frylight) with stirfried broccoli (1/2 a head), onion, garlic and 1/2 pepper. Am trying not to go shopping until the weekend, so need to make the best of what I've got in the house (and allow for the fact I have 4 children to feed first, inc their packed lunches) and I also desperately need to eat the freezer, as it's stuffed to the gills.
Dinner is (for me - will feed children earlier as they have activities) Sunday roast l/o veg (parsnips, 1 potato, sprouts, cabbage, peas, leeks, courgette and carrot) turned into bubble and squeak with the meat stripped from 2 chicken wings mixed in and a huge dollop of quark to stick it all togetherAlready prepped and in a tub in the fridge, so it'll be nice and quick to do. Pudding will be stewed apple and mixed spice (1/2 HexB) with sweetened f/f fromage frais
Breakfast was 1 sml slice w/m toast (1/2 HexB) with l/f spreadable butter (3syns)
Have some grapes and apples to eat up too. Skimmed milk in tea will be my HexA.
Also going to make sure I meet my fitbit challenges this week - I will lose next week!!

Using Muller Light yoghurt means it's Free, low fat yoghurt usually has a syn value but as they vary you would need to check how many syns, either on line or ask on here.
Have decided I'm having a Green day today but not really decided what I'm having yet other than cauli cheese with bacon bits & SW chips for dinner tonight! Need to go shopping as haven't got any fruit or veg, other than the cauli for tonight's dinner.
Will post my menu plan later once I've decided on what to have!
Have only been dipping in recently as really busy but hopefully things are beginning to slow a bit now - just 3 lots of bedding to get washed, dried & put away then I'll have caught up with it all and things can get back to normal.
Apologies for not welcoming all the newbies & returners earlier :hello:.
Also should have said Happy New Year everyone (better late than never!).
Denise
Thanks Denise. It's Tesco low fat natural yoghurt if anyone can help me with Syns please. Although might use Muller Lite if free.0 -

The normal Tesco brand one with the daisies on the pack is 1 syn per 100g. But bizarrely, the value brand one is free even though the nutritional info is pretty much identical!
If you prefer natural yogurt to mullers, both of the 0% versions (normal and greek style) are free as well.0 -

I generally have flora/clover light and syn it. Do any of you just have the toast dry? Is it worth saving the syns? I love my spread.
Thanks all and have a good day.
If I'm just having toast I'll have a bit of spread or butter on it but if I'm having something on it like beans, scrambled eggs, mushrooms etc then I leave the toast dry as the topping moistens it enough. Certainly couldn't eat dry toast on its' own, ugh!

If it's the one in the big tub I think it's 5 syns for the whole 500g - someone may correct me though! Hi All,
Please can I join you? Not new to Slimming world but new to this thread.
I lost over 3.5 stone two years ago and dropped 3 dress sizes to be the same size for my 25th wedding anniversary as I was when I got married. Unfortunately I left the class 3lb above target (feeling fab!) and slowly the weight has crept back on and I am now only half a stone under my original starting weight. So I have re-joined SW this morning at a brand new just opened class and thought this would give me some motivation and idea's between classes.
My menu today is:
Breakfast - Fruit & Coffee (not a big eater on a morning)
Lunch - Jacket Potato, Beans and Side Salad
Dinner - Cheeseburger Sloppy Joe Bake with potato wedges and Side Salad (3.5 syns)
HEA - Milk in Coffee HEB - Wholemeal roll in Cheeseburger
Syns & Snacks - 2 x Tesco Healthy Living Strawberry & Apple bars (5.5) Muller Light Yoghurt if fancy one later.£2021 in 2021... £253.86/£20210 -
Good Morning
Welcome more newbies :hello:
Lovely to see all the losses rolling in well done
If you are on Facebook This is a good group to join SYNS ALLOWED. Joyce finds and posts SYNS for loads products I have found its helped me a lot. :T

Sorry if link doesn't work
That group is brilliant - thanks for the link
My plan for today is/has been
B: protein shake
L: Turkey curry, rice and spinach (lots of onion and tomato in the curry)lentil and chickpea curry (4) - didn't mean to have curry twice in one day but that's what I pulled out of the freezer
S: apple, clementine's, pineapple
No sins so far - that's a lie, I've just realised I made the chickpea and lentil curry with paste and coconut milk - so I've guessed at 4 syns. It wasn't a large amount of each - but the amount I made was so shouldn't be too much per portion.
HEXA - some cheese when I get home
HEXB - not a clue currently.
Hope everyone is having a nice day - congrats to those posting losses :T0
