The giving up/cutting down thread is excellent arkers. I joined it before I started SW and it helped enormously. It's really supportive, not at all judgemental and you'd be welcome to come along.:)

Moring everyone, had a goodish week, and lost 3lbs.
    Brings me to 11lbs off.
Weigh day is wednesday so I weighed myself (in my clothes) this morning just to see, and looks like another 2 down. So hopfully will stay on track for this week. The class is wed evening, so might be a pound or two difference from a morning weight, but hoping for a loss of 2 overall..
Just need to keep this up for the next year! aaagh!

Some of the people at the group don't eat during the day and wear all sorts for weigh in. I just wear my normal work clothes. Theres one lady who comes sans bra and pants. (Well I assume no pants as theres no knicker line, but she is blessed (or cursed depending on your viewpoint) with large boobs) and she wears a t shirt and cropped leggings. Its bloody freezing!! She lost 3.5lbs last week. I'd be happy to take the hit of 1-2lbs and dress for the weather, as it will all work out in the end!

I haven't really noticed any difference in my clothes, yet, but had an epiphany yesterdays and realised its because they were all too tight.:o
I tried on a pair of high waisted jeans I bought from Tesco before Christmas, size 20 stretch, and they were too loose.- these actually fitted me properly when I bought them so now I know. Oops:eek:

Cool tweets how do you register to become a tester of such things? I have looked at those soup makers, but in trying to be MS I have resisted thus far, and still use my pressure cooker which cooks soups/stews in no time at all.

I would love to know if they're worth the money. I shall wait for feedback.

Dini a few out our group take their skirts off and weigh in just top and tights :rotfl: some take of jewllery and their socks! I see it as if your consistant each weigh in then it should be the loss numbers that are important not the overall weight. I think they are just kidding themselves really! I do wear the same clothes to weigh each week but my Jeans weigh 1.5-2lbs and would be miffed if i lost loads by not wearing them to put it back on the week after by wearing them!

Late start today.... not long up :o

    He A milk for teas
B: chopped up fruit 2 Alpen light bars (He B)
L: speedy soup, cajun chicken egg wrap with salad (2 syns mayo)
D: diet fanta chicken with noodles and veggies

2 syns options sachet, bag of aldi quavers (3)

Im taking Missy H for a manicure today..... she stopped biting her nails at neew year and they are all wonky and brittle, may see if they can sort out my caterpillars whilst Im there, always feel better with well groomed brows!

Brilliant, really made me grin when I checked the thread, (don't know how to do a head shake then rolly eyes emoticon, but just imagine one).
The type of behaviour you describe makes me wonder if God only gave some of the population brains!
If people just stick to the plan, then they should expect great results, it don't matter how long it takes to lose, the real challenge starts to STS once the weight loss goal has been met!.

The weigh in group was never for me, I went once, but was bored rigid. I am glad I have the forum, it's better support than SW online for me, even if I don't post much.
    SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb

    What d'you mean goodish, that's excellent!:D:T

I agree with mary, what matters is that you control as many variables as you can for WI. So if you go every Wednesday in your work clothes having eaten your usual meals during the day just keep that the same from week to week.

My routine for a morning WI is to wear jeans and a thinnish top. I do take off my coat and shoes but that's it. One concession is that I have my lightest breakfast on WI day (Puffed Wheat).

The group format isn't for everyone smedley. I'm not a fan but I stuck it out when getting to target as I found the weekly WI useful and also any tips I picked up from other members. Pleased that now I'm at target I only go once a month and sometimes just weigh and go.

I'm going to make soup later using the stock after I've boiled a piece of gammon. I generally use the slow cooker but I suppose a soup maker would be good if you were in a hurry.

Good to see you've now got a bridge back in place elona.

Haven't seen wiz for ages or meg. Do call by and tell us how you're doing.:)

I've had a SW breakfast (scrambled eggs) but not sure what else is on the menu. I'll call back later.

Heh, well yes, the result was good, but I went off piste a bit during the week. Most of it was as per plan but there were 2 rather flexible syns days. I balanced it by not having syns on some other days so I suppose it worked out. :)

Re the weigh in, yes, absolutely keep the routine, but I just think people are bonkers not wearing underwear or skirts. If you have gained or maintained weight, its not likely to be because you kept your knickers on! And in the end denial wont make you any healthier.
Not that I have any reason to crow mind you, having put so much weight on over the last 8 yrs.

I rejoined online too, and it had saved my last details. So when I inputted my weight this week, it gave me a lovely message that I had lost the grand total of 1lb. Kind of knocks you right off that pedastal!:rotfl:
