Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the support. Feel philosophical this morning, I'm trying to move on however it is difficult. It just illustrates to me how vulnerable I can be, and I feel I may need a little help, not sure what format that should take, but I don't want to walk with the black dog.
For me, and I'm not an expert, but my weight is massively tied up with how I'm feeling. if I can try and restore equilibrium and go to a calmer place then I can move on. if things do not stay on the straight and narrow, then I lose the fight and just resort to eating and drinking carp.
Maman It wasn't at a SW group it was from someone I considered a friend. Oh well, with hindsight I shouldn't have played the game and responded. Just feeling a bit friendless and fed up.
Thanks again

Morning everyone!
Feeling very nervous about weigh in tomorrow. Will be very disappointed if I don't see any movement on the scales for a 3rd week running. I have committed 100% to it this week so fingers crossed!
My no pepsi max challenge is well. I've only had fizzy drinks when I've been out, so maybe 2 in two weeks. Not keeping it in the house definitely helps.
I've also decided to go ahead with the gym membership but probably not until the end of next week as I don't have a suitable swimming costume and I have to order mine in from Bravissimo.
Menu:
B - overnight oats (heb)
L - LO chicken enchilada pasta (hea)
D - Beef stroganoff (1.5), brocolli and rice, ff greek yoghurt, cherries
S - wotsits (4.5), kitkat (5.5), clementine, banana
3 syns left if needed.0 -
Just feeling a bit friendless and fed up.
Plenty of friends on here arkers and all rooting for you.:) It's only since I joined SW that I've realised how tied up eating can be with emotions (drink I understand:o). What I am confident of is that you'll feel much better about yourself afterwards if you stay on plan than if you ate some c*rp. Keep plodding, it's so worth it.:)
I've done my meal plan for next week which does show up to 3 off plan meals but I'm being positive and telling myself it includes 18 on plan ones too!:D I'm going to try and make some of those SP to try and balance things off. So it'll be more of the veggie omelettes I've been enjoying and I plan to make some chunky lentil soup. Off to do the food shop in a moment, will call back later with today's menu.:)0 -
Hi everyone,
Still lots of great losses coming in, keep plodding to all who have gained or STS, we've ALL been there
akers I really feel for you, you do sound like your emotions are tied up with your food habits - aren't we all! I know when I feel like cr*p I tend to go on a wine binge, then feel awful and then go on a good binge, and then feel worse! As women we are very controlled by our emotions, however I will never understand the psyche of women who enjoy putting other women down, regardless of size, weight, colour, creed!! Unfortunatle I think that some women are very passively aggressively negative to each other, particularly if there is a weight issue! Which is a real shame.
Please don't let it get you down and if the black dog comes along, take it for a walk and let it off the leash!! The so-called 'friend' is obviously nothing of the sort, that's probably what hurts most! If You need to, have a weekend of pouring your heart out ( if that's wine/ choc/ whatevs) then get right back on it on Monday and start a new week - Positive, Resiliant and most of all happy in yourself!!
Sorry for the rant everyone, this just touched home to me!!
hurdygurdy you are a very good friend and if your weight loss suffers for a couple of weeks, never forget your friend will remember your support for the rest of her life!! Keep plodding on and be there for her!!
Ok, so here in Gili Trawangan Island it has not stopped p**ing down with tropical monsoon rain
Going diving tomorrow and Sunday and its my birthday on Sunday ( Valentines), so have checked out a few nice restaurants for a special treat!!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and Valentines, I always think, ( maybe because I've always shared my B'day with Val day) you should spend it with someone you love, not necessarily an OH, just someone (mum, dad, friend, sibling, etc) to spend a special day with! I hate all the I'm single so going to sit in myself stuff that goes around FB.
Whatever you do, have a good one :beer:0 -
Hugs Arkers. This is one of the reasons I gave up my job last year. While it sounds nothing compared to what you're going through, I just got very tired of the whole attitude there - particularly from the young and "pretty" women. Best decision I ever made, I'm too old for that s***
I had to do a sneak peek on the scales ahead of weigh in tomorrow, since I really feel like I've only just had a grasp on plan all week. So wanted to be prepared for bad news, but it's showing over 2lbs down! Will report officially tomorrow though.
Today is my usual clear the fridge Friday, so it's a bit random...
Breakfast - Eggs, orange, tea
Lunch - Tuna and pastrami open faced melts (A/B1)
Dinner - Sweet chilli chicken with a stir fry of whatever veg is left (need to double check syns, but I think 1)
Syns and B2 at some point, as usual.0 -

Second everything that you said there. I suffer too from the black dog and have tried different meds over the years to get it under control but still suffer a lot. I can be very up and down. In addition I find my weight is also connected to the state of my finances. When I have money Im happier and want to go out and buy nice healthy foods, take care of myself and buy nice clothes. When I have no money I just want to sit in and eat and feel rubbish.0 -
These are apparently affluent people, with on the face of it, first world problems and no real worries. I do feel incredibly upset. x
These are types of ladies I imagine on all those "Housewives of Chester etc" type programmes, they may be affluent but having money doesn't always buy you class unfortunately.
We're here if you need to get stuff off your chest, hope it hasn't affected you too negatively.. try to take it as a lesson learned, easier said than done I know
Well done on the pepsi max ban musogirl, have you missed it?
Added you to the challenge Wishus - good luck!
Added your 1st 3 weeks results marcshell, your target was set at 21lbs and you've met that this week, I think you should probably up it
I've had a very lazy morning this morningstill actually sat on my bed with the laptop
i have showered and that though. I had a book to finish so that's took me a few hours and it's also kept me away from the kitchen so no breakfast for me..
Not sure what we're having for tea tonight, I suppose I better go and sort something out, Cajun chicken sandwich for lunch though as I cooked the chicken last night
Hope you're all ok..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Thanks Everyone,
Don't wish to get melodramatic, but being able to "talk" freely under a pseudonym is restorative in itself. Shala, absolutely right about that one re affluence and class.
Maman I know you have mentioned drink before, I think I'll pop over to the cutting down thread as I have seen your posts on there before. At the moment I may need a bit of support on this, do you think this would be ok?
Cheese - thanks so much about for your input, I could have written this post. I love the advice re letting go of the black dog leash!!
Lantanna sorry you have this too, thank you so much for helping
June - I don't wish to sound patronising, but how brave giving up your job and moving on to pastures new. I get this, I was unfortunate enough to have suffered an injury which meant that I had to give up my last job. The injury happened at work, but the whole thing was a nightmare and still impacts me today.
Tweets thanks for the huggle and reading, I'm giving Tug extra smooths I'm sure you get that!
Just lifting my head above the parapet Hurdy so sorry about your friend's loss the fact that the lady was very overweight is a wake up call, how sobering and sad. I hope a crumb of comfort can come from your friendship, your friend sounds lucky to have you.
Going to the supermarket with a list and not going down the danger aisles;).
Love Arkers x0 -
 only filled with very speedy soup instead of beer
I have a huge pan of the stuff now and will remember next time to half it!I made a thin egg omelette to use as a wrap and filled it with cajun chicken salad. Tasted very nice!
Trying to meal plan for this week, I took a trip to aldi yesterday to fill the fridge so have an idea of what meals I bought its just putting them in order!

M: cottage pie (enought to freeze 2 more meals)
