Have a good weekend Lois & Denise

Welcome to the thread seven-day-weekend, coppers, wishus & UnluckyT great losses so far for you all:T:T

Wishus - we finish this challenge on the 28th Feb, so you can either give me a target for the next two weeks or wait for the new challenge to start on the 29th Feb... you can still tell everyone about your losses each week even if you don't join the challenge..

Well done all the losers, :T:T congrats on your shiney Mary!!

Hope you feel better soon lush, not great to be stuck at work when you're poorly xx

How awful Belsy, hope your friend is ok as can be in the circumstances. You're a good friend being there for her!

Shala just wondering if I could give you my weigh in details for the whole of this year to date? Xx

Course you can:D - i'm missing first 3 weeks for you.. are you upping your target too?
DH says the reason I wear a belt on my dressing gown is so that things dont escape out of the bottom. :rotfl:

:eek::rotfl: that really made me giggle, he's a cheeky!
Sbala Do you find the amount of nuts you are allowed for a HE hits the spot? :D I have avoided nuts up until now just in case I got a taste for them iykwim :rotfl:

I have 25g of mixed nuts so it's a bit more than an actual heb I think but it's close enough.. I find it's a nice amount, obviously a completely different taste to crisps but a lot healthier.. but yes, I have to be careful not to eat a handful while i'm weighing the 25g!:p

Weigh in day for me today 3lb off.. reckon I've put it back on today though - cream tea scone and fish and chips for tea.. must get back on track tomorrow to minimise damage!
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

  • Shala my first week was 7.5lb off, 2nd was 2.5lb off and 3rd week was another 2.5lb off. Errmm can't remember what my target was lol. Xx

...creeps in absolutely fuming:mad:. I know this is a weight loss thread but I can feel myself edging towards the abyss of food catastrophe if I don't drop in and rant.

I won't bore you with the details, but it basically involves !!!!!y women. Even at my age I can feel myself returning to the school playground where I was the fat kid in class and the cool kids seemed to be in a different world to me. I know I probably need a shrink not a happy supportive weight loss gang. I was back there today after the !!!!!y women stirred the s**t and made me feel 2" tall.

Do some women get a kick out of being particularly manipulative and nasty? These are apparently affluent people, with on the face of it, first world problems and no real worries. I do feel incredibly upset. I can't understand why I am such a crap judge of character. In a previous life I went to boarding school and had an even more torrid time. It doesn't take a lot to take me back there and feel how I used to feel.

I am trying to rise above it and take heart in a supportive family environment.

So sorry to poor my heart out, but I read that online forums can really help. Apologies if this is not the right place, but I'm hoping it will persuade me not to reach for the wine.

    Thanks everyone....Arkers x

Popping in with this week's weigh in of -1lb please.

I do keep up with the thread even though I don't post much. You're all a very motivating group of people and, as I don't belong to a group, this is where I get my support and advice :T

:T to debjay, wishus and shala and  to tweets and beanie (although I'm sure you'll soon sort it out).

No problem with having a rant arkers but who were these awful women? I hope it wasn't in a SW group. I'm sure rising above it is the best way as descending to their level isn't the way to go. What I do know is that losing weight and all the NSVs that go with it improves confidence. Having got my weight under control I now feel in control and it makes it so much easier to deal with sh*t.:grouphug:

That's awful news hurdy gurdy. Poor woman and you poor friend. Gives us all an extra reason for being healthy.

I made spicy fish parcels again tonight but had to improvise a bit as I'd run out of ginger. I managed with some 5 spice. Normally I buy frozen ginger but haven't managed to get to Asda to buy any yet. I've heard you can use a ginger root and grate it straight from the freezer. Anyone tried this?

I bought an M&S Valentine's Meal Deal today. Let's say the steak is probably fairly low syn;). Not sure whether to have it on Sunday or Saturday night but it'll definitely be an off plan meal.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: veggie omelette, ham, pickles
D: fish parcel (with mushrooms, tomato, asparagus and courgette) with saute potatoes, cauli, broccoli and mange tout.
Snack: 3 LM sausages (never had them before)
Syns: squirt of syrup, 3 syns of chocolate

Welcome to our family, seven-day-weekend – and WOW!

Hi, coppers, wishus and unluckyT; you’ve done a great job already.

You can do it ‘nae bother’, lantanna. That red lace dress was beautiful.

maman, I’m sure you and the dress will be very happy together again.

Hope all our poorlies are back in fine fettle soon.

Well done, mary (and for award too), debjay and shala.

So sad for your friend, BelsyBoop. She’ll be glad of your friendship.

I’ve had another good day today.

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs and hexb soldiers
Lunch: baked potato with prawn mayo (1) and salad (lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, syboes, red pepper) with NuMe lemon & herb dressing (I believe it is free, but please let me know if I’m wrong)
Dinner: roast chicken (no skin, boo hoo), potato wedges, cauliflower, green beans, gravy (1) followed by WW raspberry fromage frais
Snack: I’ve a fair bit of leeway, so I had 2 cream crackers (4) with hexa cheese (no time for any other snacks today, lol)

    Good luck all.

Awesome, Shala - I am aiming for an obscure 2.5lb please!

Was doing really well yesterday, until I 'accidentally' hoovered some nuts without thinking and had about 4 syns worth... which was fine. Then I managed to find something nice at Wetherspoons on the way to my meetings - salmon with superfood pasta. (I am an idiot - I forgot I also had pasta for lunch). Very nice.

Then had tea and diet cokes...

But then I had some Merlot... and got bought another (large). Whoops! Not blown by too many, but blown nonetheless.

Then, today I got to work and someone had divvied up a homemade chocolate cheesecake and put a slice on my desk!

It's Friday... there will be many more temptations throughout the day, I'm sure. I'm not blowing all my syns before 9am.:o

Luckily I had a little pot with me that the cheesecake could go in, and it's hiding from me in my drawer now.... something for tomorrow ;)

Passed by M&S this morning too, and could see all the lovely things for the 2 can dine for £20 for Valentine's day. I'm pretty sure I can do something very SW and romantic, and cheaper, though. Challenge on?
