Forgive me slimming world, for I have synned
I had lovely weetabix and raspberries with almond milk for brekkie - good
I had a big bowlful of Thick Lentil and Vegetable Soup for lunch, followed by an apple, a banana and a satsuma - also good
but then, oh dear. A work colleague brought in half of a Christmas cake because her husband said it was too tempting to have at home. Well he was damned right:o. I had rather a large piece. So mega mega syns, given that I had the marzipan and icing as well. I am a disgrace.
I may have slightly redeemed myself for dinner tonight, as I made Corned Beef Stew, at 2.5 syns a serving. It was just unbelievably yummy. Made with onions, carrots, swede and potatoes, and I did stir fried cabbage with it. I am stuffed full now.
june89 - shows how different we all are, doesn't it. I loathe the taste of the buttery Frylight. I used it twice, and then chucked the bottle out.
lushlifesaver - I love the word familymoon. That's lovely. I hope you have a fab time, wherever you go, mobility scooters or not.
Husband feels his interview went very well. He said he had a lot of positive responses from the interviewer. They have a couple more people to see this week, and then there will be a second interview and a decision made then (but that's the usual old guff, isn't it). So we wait and see.
And more positive news about my friend's daughter. She has improved enough that they are going to transfer her at the weekend to the hospital where she will eventually have her transplant, and they are just waiting and hoping. I was so happy to read that. I take it as a very positive step towards her recovery. A baby step, maybe. But a positive step nevertheless.0 -

Lovely news all round. Catch up tomorrow with you all.:)0 -
Have decided we're going away this afternoon until Sunday in the motorhome - even though the forecast is carp! Looks like it's going to be raining all day Saturday.
Going to group this morning but not weighing, decided I'm only going to weigh every 3-4 weeks - seem to be getting a bit obsessive about the numbers.
Plan so far today:
B - strawberries at group
L - Burger & onions in WM roll (HEB)
D - couscous with chicken & beef (packet but not sure how many syns will need to put through the syns calculator)
HEA will be milk as usual.
Unlikely to get on line over the weekend so hope everyone has a good one.

I keep butter frylight in for things like that, it makes so much difference. I really HATE the taste of the regular frylight, I'll only use it in very small doses where I know the flavour won't come through.
Butter frylight also makes good chips
I make my chips with regular rape seed oil in a Tefal Actifry mini.
Per portion it's only 5ml/oil = 2 syn, I can live with that to get perfect home made chips.SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -

Second that! Great news : )
Had my Piri Piri Pork last night and enjoyed it, served with Mangetout and Slimming World Chips. Will make again. Recipe is on the SW Website. I added Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms and chopped tomatoes so lots of speed.
Yeah after looking at photos I've reset my target so 25lbs to be killed. That would also make me the weight I was at my sisters wedding and I was happy at that weight. Lets do this.
After me saying it was spring like yesterday we have ice and fog this morning :rotfl:
Managed to cut myself shaving last night in my armpit - no idea how but ouch!!!!
I've never been to Benidorm. I would like to see it to see what it is like but not in high season lol0 -
Hi everyone, I'd like to join please, I've been going to slimming world since last summer, I'm now 1/2 lb off my 2 stone award, I've still got a way to go before I hit target though, I stay to group every week & it helps, but every week before group I think about leaving & just doing it at home so I can save the money, but I always go back because I know I've never been able to lose weight on my own before.0
