  • -1/2LB for me this week.
Making very slow progress but at least it is progress.
We go off on our hols to Tenerife at the weekend so shala please mark me as missing for the next two weeks and I'll be back in March to remove the holiday gains.
  • Well done to all the losers!

Didn't get round to discussing the gym thing with DH last night. We just sat down after putting the kids to bed when the power went off. Turns out the dishwasher which is only 2 years old had a massive leak which tripped the electrics. So lots of waiting in for today for various workmen!

    Menu:

    B - activia, 2 x hifi (heb), clementine
    S - banana, kitkat (5.5)
L - bacon, leek and potato soup
    S - popcorn (4.5), clementine
D - chicken enchilada pasta bake (hea), ff greek yoghurt, berries

5 syns left to play with. Caught a cold off the baby and am so hungry with it. Got to try and beat the munchies for the rest of the day. Normally I would make up some syn free falafel or veg fritters or something to snack on but with the afore mentioned dishwasher issue the kitchen is rather a mess at the mo!

Hope the interview goes well Hurdy!

Well done all the losers :T

Bit quiet on here today, hope everyone didn't fall face first into piles of pancakes last night.. we didn't bother with them just had strawberries and yogurt instead.

    Today' menu is EE again
    B - banana, yogurt, granola (0.5heb)
    L - LO pie (3 + 0.5hea) butternut squash
T - frittata, salad, sweet potato
    S - crisps (5) apple, chocolate (2)

My crisp habit has started to sneak in again! :naughty: must swap back to nuts for some of the week, especially on days I'm not having my HEB..

    Hiya

No pancakes here Shala, although I keep seeing pictures of them everywhere and it was very tempting to whip up some batter. Luckily there's no flour in the cupboard so I'd have had to be adventurous and try a healthy recipe which just wouldn't cut it.

    Have a lovely holiday Matron.

Good luck to Mr Hurdygurdy for the interview.

I'm away this weekend - Dh and I are having a long weekend in Benidorm, so I won't be weighing in on Monday. Hopefully by the following Monday I'll have managed to undo any gains.

    Hope everyone is doing OK.

:T to midge and inthered. And have a great holiday when it comes midge and enjoy your weekend in Benidorm lois. I've never been there but the programmes on TV (I've seen the one about the hospital) paint a strange picture of loads of Brits, mostly on mobility scooters. Is it really like that?

 to the dishwasher musogirl. Hope the workmen turn up on time and sort it out.

I've even heard chocolate manufacturers saying that they're shrinking their bars for health reasons!! Yeah, right! Individual packs of crisps have got so small that many eat a 'family size' pack all to themselves.

Oh dear, I hope you feel better today. Hope it wasn't the oats business that upset you.:)

I've got to go out for a meeting shortly so quick and easy dinner for us.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, 2 boiled eggs
L: LO chicken casserole (minus chicken). This was virtually SP as had half a new potato and added extra Speed and peas to pad it out.
D: Chilli con carne with rice and cottage cheese
Syns: probably some chocolate (3 syns worth?)

Another struggling day, already used 11.5 syns and DH is out tonight so it's going to be a loooooong night.

Breakfast - Porridge and berries (B1)
Snack - Latte and biscuits (5)
Lunch - Turkey salad followed by chocolate (6.5)
    Dinner - Pork and veggies

Still have the rest of my A and B choice to try and get me through though!

I think this is somewhat true. I remember reading something ages ago that there was some initiative calling for calorie reduction in processed foods. Think it was when Mars shrunk their range as they had agreed to be no more than 250 calories per bar. Just googled, it's called the Public Health Responsibility Deal issued by the DoH.

Of course, it means that the manufacturers can shrink sizes and claim it's for health reasons. So increased profits and good publicity. Win win for them in their eyes, I'm sure.

Yeah and go into your local supermarket and you can get a Family Size pack of chocolate like M&Ms etc for 99p - they just switch the offers round on different ones. But how much fruit or healthy foods would you get for 99p.

    Annoys me.

No pancakes here either - I was in bed early huffing :rotfl: The Parents behaviour is driving me crazy. I tried to tactfully suggest to Mother last night that she needs an independent to speak to - a mediator as such to sort out what they are doing. A person who is not me or my sister. She's afraid of what people will think. She doesn't quite believe that people in professional positions are truly confidential and she thinks that the person will think its all her fault so she won't do anything.

Its getting to a stage where I'll be seeking an Independent Professional to talk to about it as my head is melted!!! :rotfl:

It is quite springlike here today:j I always find this helps my mood in general and makes me feel more productive. Might do a little sorting of clothes when I go home - getting some bags ready for charity shop.

Been looking at old photos - may up my target, not liking my face in a lot of them at the weight I want to get to again. Anyway will see when I get nearer it. I do believe you could be a weight once in your life and at it again at a different time and look completely different so time will tell.

Another day on plan so hopeful for a loss next week.
