Hi Everyone,
Hurdy- so sorry to hear about your friend's little girl, fingers crossed that she continues to make progress x
Congrats BB for SOTW, good work!:T.
Thanks for the chart Shala.
Quiet week for me this week, have continued with the exercise. Experienced a Hit class, and a spin class for the first time. Quite a bit of friction, but the less said about that the better:eek::rotfl:!!
Lost - 1 1/4 lbs this week. Plodding on! I am away next weekend, off to the theatre for DH's b'day. Not sure where we're eating, however I have decided that I will "bank" syns during the week and save for the weekend.
Gulp B-E-G, H cup that's quite impressive when your weight starts with an 11:rotfl:. I have found that my chest which was not huge is shrinking and going further South. I fed both of mine many years ago for over a year, and I appear to be paying the price. I've also had a Satsuma sized lump removed (luckily benign) in Sept, and they're a bit of a mess. Still it's all worth it to see the weight going down!
Keep going everyone.

Another EE day here today:
B - bacon & mushroom omelette
L - HM carrot & lentil soup
D - Hotpot - based on recipe from this weeks magazine
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - Ryvita - this evening if I need them
Syns - will have 3 (French) Apericubes if I have the Ryvita (0.5)
Nothing else planned but have fruit to pick at if needed.

Glad to hear that BF is quite philosophical about the decision lush. Hope him being around more doesn't mean bad choices though?;)
The opposite really; he seems far more relaxed and amenable to my suggestions...well so far! he has 'his' food which I don't touch unless something means I have to (crisps, chocolate biscuits, chocolate bars and sweets mostly) I think it will work better this way. This is how it was before he got picked up by Elite and that's when I managed to lose my weight the first timeNow I have less pressure to cook us all the same meal and make it super filling (ie pile on carbs and protein) I can cook us all things with little tweaks and we can enjoy food again. Tonight it's meatballs in dolmio sauce with penne and a garlic baguette - him and littlie eat most of the garlic baguettes so I'll just have 2 small slices and I'll steam a load of mixed veg in the microwave and bung a few mushrooms in the oven with the garlic bread to add to mine
I don't have more time to cook but I have less to take in to account carb/calories wise so I don't have to think so hard I can just get on with it!

The coaching/managing opportunity looks as though it might be a good option for both of you. Every cloud … as they say.
Yeah, he seems more relaxed already which is great as he was rather stressed and that was wearing on us a bit. I think he'd enjoy stepping back a bit.. there's a lot of pressure on him at club as he is our main ball handler and that has only just started to ease off with GB upskilling our 2pointer (now GB vice cap and close with OH) I think a change in responsibility would be good for him. And I could do without all the pressure the current club piles on me sometimes considering I work too!The_Cheese wrote: »lush how do I PM you?
Today:
breakfast: huge glass of water, porridge (HeB made with part HeA)
lunch: salad; chicken, spinach, cucumber, pickld onion, beetroot, cous cous (made with chicken stock for extra flavour), tomatoes
snack: hard boiled eggs
tea: meatballs in dolmio sauce (call it 3syn for the sauce portion for me - 11.5 for the jar divided by 4 portions) with penne and I will add veggies to my serving (and littlies too) it's 7 syns for 1/4 of the garlic baguette which is probably more than I'll get to eat (last time I only got the two ends!) so call it 10 for the meal. Well worth it in my opinion
Will go for a walk on my lunch as we need the pasta for tonight and I also need to get a few bits for OH from a shop in town. Should be about 1.5-2 miles by the time I've looked in a few other shops etc
Drinks: loads of water. I've knocked back 750ml already at work which is great for me, a cup of peppermint tea and a cup of regular tea at some point.
Can anyone help with the syns in Morrisons NuMe hot chocolate? Tia************************************

Thanks for the ideas maman!
Well done BB for SOTW! :j
Feeling a bit more positive today. I know that I am completely on plan this week so if I don't lose again there's not much I can do about it!
Menu today:
B - Overnight oats (heb)
L - Jacket potato, prawns in seafood sauce (2.5), salad
D - Sag aloo with chicken, greek yoghurt, raspberries
S - clementines, activia, bananas, kitkat (5.5), popcorn (4.5)
I'm debating with myself at the moment about gym membership. We have a lovely gym with swimming pool 5 mins drive away that I was a member of before I was pregnant. I used to have an off peak membership that I used in the day when DD1 was at preschool and then school. Now I have DD2 and no childcare except for my mum occassionally on her days off so an off peak membership would be unworkable. So the question is do I splash out on a peak membership at £50 a month plus £40 joining fee. I'm worried that if I do it will be too easy to stay in in the evenings and not use it. Also I don't want to leave my DH having to manage the kids on his own all the time after a day at work (although I'm sure he wouldn't complain!) The other time I could use it is if I got there for when it opens at 6.30am which sounds horrendous but DD2 is waking us up at 5.30/6am every morning anyway at the moment! I would have to make sure I don't stay too long though so I'm home to help get DD ready for school before DH needs to leave at 8. I would mainly want to swim with the odd light gym session. I am also interested in pilates classes to try and help with my back pain from lugging the baby around!
The alternatives:
1. I join a cheaper (but nowhere near as nice) gym 20 mins drive away. I worry that the distance will mean I don't use it often.
2. I join a local pilates class. Cost seems to be in the region of about £8 for a weekly class. I pay for adhoc swimming at a different (not so nice) pool at a cost of about £6 a session.
3. I don't do anything! I currently do a fair bit of walking with the pram but nothing that makes me sweat.
I do miss swimming and it's one of the few excercises that doesn't cause me knee pain. Whilst I can afford whichever option I choose, I am anxious not to waste money.
Sorry about the essay! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!0 -

:T on the loss arkers and anyone else I've missed.
For anyone feeling miserable about bust measurements I'd recommend getting measured properly and investing in something decent. I did that and now I know my size I just look in TKMaxx regularly.
I know sometimes money can be tight but I do believe treating yourself is important. So based on that, musogirl, I'd go for the gym membership and resolve to go as often as you can. I'd definitely opt for the nicest one as it'll make you feel better about going there. Going in the evening wouldn't mean abandoning DH completely, you could go for an hour or so and still have plenty of evening left. Good idea from beanie to ask about rolling membership.
lush, I tried putting the hot chocolate through the calculator and it came to 2 syns but not certain as it only deals in grams not ml but as that's the same for water then it should be right. Good news that eating can get a bit more back to normal for you and that BF is getting a bit more amenable at trying things. My DH has 'his' food too (mostly biscuits, sugary muesli and bready things) but he does eat the same dinners so that helps.
I've got the magazine but not read much of it yet. Do feed back on the recipe denise.
beg, you seem to have been yo-yoing since about when your aunt died although it is common to hit a plateau. Keep plodding and it'll come good:A.
My EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese and pickleschicken casserole (celery, mushrooms, onion, carrot, butter beans;)) with new potatoes, cauli and broccoli
Syns: scrape of spread, cornflour in sauce, and may have snack of chocolate or Melba toasts0 -

Thanks maman I had 2 syns in my head so I'm happy with that. It's rather nice hot chocolate and I find it richer than the options ones (which I also like but which can be a bit weak/think to me) and it's only about £1.35 a bag which is nice! I have decanted some in to one of littlie's pots and stashed it in my desk at work for a quick low syn pick me up
Getting my hair done at the training school on Friday so can't spend anything of chocolate treats this week as my budget it tight now until I get paid the commission I'm owed but as our finance manager is off ill that won't be happening this week as it should be!************************************

Just a quick post today as work is crazy to say i weighed in this morning and was a STS for me this week. Thanks Shala did the chart.
I was a bit disappointed with STS but then I looked back over my week I realised I ate out three times in a week including a pizzeria so now feeling more positive. My exercise and good eating habits the rest of the time have balanced it out so its not a gain - unless in catches up next week!0
