Hello and welcome, FutureGirl and bright-lights.
HurdyGurdy, I have no words to express how I feel for your friend.
Good work, secondtoughest.
Well done on losses, rebster, ITR, Tulip and BettyBoof.
I suppose OH can relax a bit now, lush, as he won’t be on tenterhooks every time there’s a selection board and he won’t have the recurring disappointment that he seems to have had to suffer. The coaching/managing opportunity looks as though it might be a good option for both of you. Every cloud … as they say.
Congrats on being SOTW, BelsyBoop.
And well done target reachers!
Well I weighed myself yesterday on the new scales and they show +2.6lbs, so not as bad as I’d feared. I had been going to call this an STS but it’s not too awful so I’ll just accept it and move on. I'm liking this showing tenths of a pound, btw! However, I’ve been [STRIKE]a teeny bi[/STRIKE]t naughty while we were away, so I’ll have to put a big effort in before next week. I’m all planned, shopping list made and ready for anything, she quivered.
See you all tomorrow.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Evening folks
Sorry I'm at it again Shala this week - +3lbs for me I'm afraid. I know I had some naughtiness for my birthday on Tuesday and day out with DH on Wednesday (did have Subway salad despite having fruit scones
). I don't quite know what is going on but looking at my graph on the 23rd Nov I was 11st 12.5 and here we are now 11 weeks on and I am 11.12 - I just keep yoyo-ing. Will fill in another food diary this week and keep up the extra water intake. I have a meal out with family on Thursday and apart from that there is no reason for me to stray off plan. On the positive side of things I tried some dresses on yesterday from last year and they are way too big - my H cup looks non-existent in them :rotfl:. Today I tried a dress on in a shop - a fabric and style I would never have even considered this time last year - so I told my Consultant tonight I am focusing on that and forgetting the numbers on the scales (as hard as it is sometimes). I am considering buying another countdown next week and see how things go and if there has been little change over that time I might just call it a day.
Sorry I haven't been able to get online to have proper catch up and by night time I have been too tired.
Congratulations BelsyBoop on SOTW :T Well done to all the fab losers and hugs to anyone who is struggling and having a bit of a tough time of it all.
Welcome to any new people joining us - you will be guaranteed support by the bucketful if you stay with us.
Our Asda store hasn't made it onto the wonky veg list. We regularly buy Sainsbobs basics peppers and mushrooms and they are fine. I think I would rather buy individual items rather than someone else choosing for me.
Didn't get chance to post re discussion on shoe sizes - despite all the weight I have shifted I have only gone down maybe one size - previously I had to get 8 (occasionally 9) and now it is mainly 7 with some 8.
Hope you all have a fab week.

Thanks for the chart shala and well done belseyboop for SOTW
Thanks for the recipe blog recommendation hurdygurdy - I'll check it out.
Feeling quite pleased with myself as went for a swim this evening. Going to try and make it at least a weekly thing. Would like to do it more often but the timetable at my pool is rubbish so not sure whether I'll be able to make it any other evenings0 -
Forgot to say whilst I was rambling (talking not the walking kind
) we had a lovely tea/supper tonight - the Nacho-style Feast. Had been going to have the Tater Tots from the twochubbycubs but we didn't have any bloomin celery in. It will definitely be making an appearance later in the week.

That website is making me VERY hungry - going to give the SW Carbonara a go tonight, as I have some Quark to use up!
I made the Creamy Bacon and Mushroom Spaghetti Carbonara from Vicki-Kitchen-Blogspot tonight.
I thought it was lovely, but my son managed two mouthfuls before giving up.
However - the recipe was meant to be for four people. It would have fed four TRIBES!!! My 2nd son just had a plateful of the spaghetti once it was cooked (which he had with veggie meatballs and sauce) and then the 1st son and I had huge platefuls each and there is STILL half a potful left.
Does anyone else find that SW recipes make FAR too much? I know it's great that you can eat to your appetite, but if we really did eat it all, we would burst out of our skins! I must remember to just do half quantities - not everything will freeze successfully and it ends up getting binned.
What carbonara did you make, ITR - and would you recommend it.
And to end with some positive news. My friend's daughter, although still critically ill, has made a teeny bit of progress
Her lungs have started to improve and they have removed the machine that vibrates the lungs, and when my friend posted her message earlier today, they were hopefully at that time closing her up. Her daughter has been clenching their hands and moving a little bit. Obviously tiny little steps, but I can only imagine the joy that must have given her parents. She is such a little fighter, and we continue to keep everything crossed that there is a successful outcome from this.0 -
