Have a happy weekend all :)
Thank you - and the same to you, beanie.

No game for us today, maman, as we were knocked out of the cup, so now I’m watching Scotland struggle v the Auld Enemy. Some things never change.

Did weigh this morning, Lois, and did show a gain. Oh well, I’ll just pretend it didn’t happen; not supposed to weigh until Monday, but we have an overnight at Seamill Hydro thanks to Christmas present from DS and family. I think synful food will be in order, so I’ll blame any gain on that – or should it be the other way round?

Thanks for the encouraging words, shala.

Well done, gbatey, selement, Abbafan, june, tulip (2st!!!!!) and elona.

I forgot to take mince out of freezer for the Bolognese so I’ve had to change my meal plan. I’m going to go back to telling you what I actually had rather than what I plan to have. I think that will make me more accountable as there will be more detail.

    Here’s Saturday so far.
Breakfast: hexb porridge made with water and salt
Lunch: Batchelor’s Pasta ‘n’ Sauce Cheese & Broccoli, beetroot, toast (6) – forgot I’d had my hexb and would have to syn it!, orange
    Snack: WW lemon slice (5)
Dinner: roast chicken, 1 hash brown (5), broccoli, carrots, pickled onions, gravy (1)
    Snack: cherries
    Total syns: 17 ho hum

    Hi all!

I joined SW 3 weeks ago. Lost 7.5lbs so far (Got my 1/2 stone award on Wednesday yay!). I go to group on Wednesday nights.

I am too late for the 8 week challenge , so I will wait it out till the next challenge starts :)

I'm finding it really good actually. I have not really changed what I eat, in that I still have SpagBol etc, but I am changing the way it's cooked. IE from scratch and not using the dolmio jars! I find I'm also more adventurous with new recipes and trying new things! I'm even going to take a go at making a SYN FREE pizza tomorrow!

I love SW and can't believe I haven't done it before.

My target is to lose 6.5 stone, so I have a long way to go!

The chicken is a Lidl special offer for 1.5 syns with the skin on but I won't eat the skin so ignoring that.

It is just me that could actually cry at throwing away chicken skin :rotfl::rotfl:

I think it's the best part of the bird!

Thank you to those who gave suggestions as to how to handle the tortilla/fajita situation. I tried to multi quote, but that is WAY beyond my capabilities (Luddite!). I "got" that I had to click on the double speech bubble, but then couldn't figure out how to get those into my post. Anyway thank you xx

I've had quite a light day. I struggle at weekends, as timings are all to pot, and then I can't fit meals in.

I had baked beans on toast (HEB and 1.5 syns for spread) at about 11.30, then nothing until dinner at about 6pm, when we had a treat - sirloin steak. Oooh, yummy for my tummy. Had that with SW chips, peas and sweetcorn, and I had a side salad for speed.

I have just had a cup of tea and a Kallo coconut and chocolate rice cake (4 syns) and that's about me done for the day. I don't think I've eaten enough really - but given my portion sizes during the week, that's no bad thing!

Oh a less happy note - my friend's daughter was back in surgery again today, as she now has problems with her lungs, and until they heal, even if a donor heart is found, she wouldn't be able to have the surgery. I feel so desperately sorry for my friend and the rest of the family. It seems one step forward and two steps back. I thank my lucky stars that I have never been in a situation like that.

Click the multi quote symbol on the posts you want to quote from (maximum of 3) then click the quote symbol.

So sorry to hear that, it must be very stressful for the family and for you as a friend. Sending positive thoughts to you all.

Is that 2st in total? I think we're all reading it as a 2st loss in a week! :D.
