  • Welcome aboard dini :hello: Can I just say that I started SW in late April 2014 and weighed in at just over 21st and at my weigh in on Monday night I was 11st 9lb - loss of 9st 7.5lbs. I totally agree that at the outset it is a totally daunting task but by taking it half/stone at a time you will get there. Are you going to SW group or are you going it alone (well with us ;))? Good luck and post as often as you can to let us know how you are doing or if you have any questions just shout up.

Evening all  Thanks for the chart shala

Got my new SW magazine in the post today so been having a flick through that this evening. Will have a more detailed look at some point but a few recipes in there I may try. The new Bella Italia light menu sounds tasty, will definitely try and give that a go at some point.

    Today's SP Plan:
    B: bran flakes (heB), clementine
L: tuna and egg salad (1 syn)
D: LO chicken supreme and green beans
S: milk (heA), dried apricots (heB), speed fruit, carrots, SW homous, treat size chomp (3 syns), chocolate (7 syns)

Will probably be staying SP until tomorrow evening, then back to EE over the weekend. Think me and OH will make pancakes on Sunday (we only really see each other at weekends) - any ideas for low syn toppings? At the minute I'm thinking of having them with some berries but would love some other ideas :)

Thank you. :) I am going to group, as I need the motivation of weighing in.
But the ladies and gents there are very nice. Plus its literally about 2 minutes away so I don't really have an excuse! I joined online in the past, and it wasn't enough. They say that those who go to group and stay for Image Therapy get to goal, and maintain the weight loss. (I'm not sure that image therapy is what Id call it really), but I think for me, if I have a rough week, the support there might keep me on track. Its easier to hide on the internet. Although really I'd only be hiding from me....

You've done so well. 9 and a half stone??? I can only dream of that! I bet you have fun shopping now, Clothes and shoe shopping is a nightmare for me at the moment. I have loads of nice stuff, especially for work but its all way too small. (Size 14-16) presently am 22 top and 20 bottom. Shoes are all too tight. Although I have had an issue with feet swelling since my op so I dont know if it will improve if my weight goes down,
I did ok during the week but my eating is emotional, and I don't seem to have an off switch, so I really struggled on Mon and Tues. I stayed on plan, but I went over my syns by about 20 on both those days.

What about you guys who have lost large amounts of weight, did you drop a shoe size too???

Not been here for a few days, so very late reporting in. I have been focused on my friend's 12 year old daughter, who underwent 15 hours of open heart surgery last week, which seems not to have been a success, as the last message from her mum was that they are now looking for a new heart for her :cry::cry:.

That's heart rending, my thoughts go out to her and the rest of the family, I really hope a donor is found very soon so she can get on with the rest of her life.

Stories like this really do put everything in perspective.

I'm not a big pizza fan but when the girls were younger we used to take them to Pizza Express. The Leggera pizzas are around 20/22 syns which with a large glass of wine is about 2 days syns so worth planning for if you'd enjoy it.

I think I'd just have the wine :rotfl:

Dini, I lost over 6 stone and my feet went down one size. I know other people that have lost less or similar and have went down a few sizes so I think its just variable. I felt a bit cheated :rotfl:Also my feet were an 8 and now they are a 7 so they are still big.

Been a bit naughty last night :o In strange hyperactive mega talkative form today, need to reign myself back in today and regain control on the eating or I'll be looking at a gain or STS on Tuesday.

Do not know what is wrong with me lol, just feeling wild and rebellious. Would actually need to calm down a little bit :rotfl: No doubt something hormonal is behind it all.

Need to pop out to get some eggs later as used them all up at breakfast this morning with DH!

Have done my monthly menu plan and hoping to do a few Green days this month.

Today is yet another EE day:

B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - HM spicy parsnip soup
D - hopefully going out to a fish restaurant - will have the fish platter if it's on tonight. If it's not I'll need to think of something else to as not wanting fish & chips - which are the other options!

    HEA - 1% milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - weekend wine

Have got strawberries, raspberries, grapes & little easy peelers to snack on. Can have with some sweetened Quark if I fancy it.

  • yesterday was definitely a flexi syn day. New day today

    breakfast: HeB porridge with milk
lunch: jacket potato with beans and tuna - no extra salad today as I forgot to grab it before leaving! Yogurt 0.5syn
Tea: chicken breast served with tomato and mozzarella tart and salad.

I am going to either syn the milk or the mozerella. Milk I have only used 180ml and don't intend on having any more so that's about 6syns(?) not sure on how much mozerella I'll use yet but I know 45g which is just about a whole ball in the one I got is a HeA(!) so I want to see how much I use for the whole tart/my share then I'll sort that as I know the syns for that are about 5 per 25g :)

Will be going on a walk at lunch as I need to get BiL a birthday present as OH hasn't and didn't remind me the other day (seems to think I just know these things!)
