I have fallen for a "light pizza" a couple of times before I got round
to checking online syns and got a very nasty shock especially as the middle of the thing was filled with salad!!!
I made a change to breakfast and instead of weetabix as usual or an omelette I made a few drop scones with just a little flour, one egg and a little milk. Used oil spray for drop scones and a couple of bacon rashers with the fat cut off and a tomato.
Might do pasta for lunch and will have a look round for YS bargains later this afternoon in the supermarket that are SW friendly and can be frozen if possible. Last time I got a pack of smoked salmon for 69 pence!"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
Today...
Breakfast - Apple porridge (B)
Lunch - Chicken salad
Dinner - Sausages and veggies
Pudding - Hot chocolate (A) and syns
I *might* have some mash with the sausages, so not planning a second B at the moment. But will add that into pudding if need be.HurdyGurdy wrote: »I went out for lunch today and chose the "guilt free healthier option" pizza which is under 500 calories. When I asked on a FB support group what the syns would be, I almost cried when the answer was "28". Nearly two days' worth of syns on a tiny pizza that barely touched the sides.
For future reference, the best option to go with at these sorts of chains is actually pasta! Since the bulk of the meal is coming from the pasta itself, which is a free food. Instead of a pizza, where the bulk comes from fully synned dough. So the only syns are in the sauce which you can keep down by going for a tomato based one such as Arrabiata.0 -
Weigh in later so hoping for a teeny weeny loss.
Will report back later!
Hope you're lucky. I was!:D I went to WI this morning and lost 1lb so I'm bang on target.
I probably won't go for another few weeks so I'm going to stay on plan and take advantage of not eating out for a bit even if I go below as I've a heavy week and a wedding coming up soon so a bit of leeway will be good.
My group had moved to a new venue today. I knew it was planned but consultant could have emailed/texted to tell everyone! Fortunately not too far away but also started 30 mins earlier! I got there eventually! Did I tell you she's nice but dim?
I'm not a big pizza fan but when the girls were younger we used to take them to Pizza Express. The Leggera pizzas are around 20/22 syns which with a large glass of wine is about 2 days syns so worth planning for if you'd enjoy it.
Hope you're lucky with YS bargains elona. Today we're having a gammon hock that I bought YS in Aldi after Christmas. It has a separate mustard glaze which probably has syns but not decided whether to use it yet. I'll see what t looks like when it's cooking.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions and beetrootgammon shank, new potatoes and lois's ratatouille
Syns: maybe mustard glaze and a bit of chocolate0 -

Back from WI and amazingly a very small loss of 0.5lb which leaves me bang on top of the target range! Happy with that as really didn't expect any better than a STS and would probably have had to pay!
Must try harder this week, LOL! (sounds like a school report doesn't it?)
Using up something from the freezer which is full of syns so will be the only syns consumed today!
B - taster at group - all Free foods, yay!
L - HM sweet potato & pepper soup; 1 slice bread (0.5 HEB)
D - potato burger, chips, beans & salad 13 syns:eek:
HEA will be milk in tea - have managed to get 1% again today so 300ml instead of 250ml of semi.

Anyone a consumer whiz?
When buying Fruit or Veg, does the weight on the outside of the packaging indicate
1. The fruit or veg without the packaging?
2. The fruit or veg with the packaging?
We pay per kg for the weight printed on the outside, so I am guessing it is Nr. 1
I purchased some samphire on Sunday, on the package says 150g, so I was expecting 150g of samphire, I only got 133g samphire.
I weighed the whole package with the contents afterwards, and it weighs 150g.
Is this worth complaining about?
ThanksSW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -

It is the net weight that is required to be stated, so contents only. They have an acceptable margin of error (around 8-10% from memory) so it can either be under or over weight, but the average yield should be what's stated on the package. Your difference is slightly more than the margin, so I think you could complain.0 -
Shala~~you could always try do doing the cat in the office :rotfl:

I will keep my eye on the weight of this product.
If this product proves to be consistently under-weight, then I will complain.
I cannot substantiate my complaint this time, I had to cook it for tea
It was just strange that the contents and packaging were exactly 150g!SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0
