Haven't been around for a few days - thank you to whoever recommended the twochubbycubs, I am sitting here roaring with laughter!

Stayed on plan all week, so was a bit disappointed to see the scales show only 1lb loss. But, as others have said, it's a marathon not a sprint and I seem to be changing my eating habits - well, the fact that Cadburys have changed the recipe helps too! - and I know that I'm 10% lighter than I was in June (and am on far fewer meds too) and can do more which is good.

    Today's food:

Breakfast: Free food taster at group
Lunch: HM roasted vegetable soup, satumas.
Snack: Chicken pasta mugshot (2 syns)
Dinner: Sea bass fillets, new potatoes, carrot, cauliflower, sprouts. Muller coconut greek yoghurt (Frozen, 1/2 syn)
    HEA: Milk in coffee
    HEB: Hifi bars
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

    Hi folks,
    Can I join the club?
I have rejoined Slimming World (again) after 2 abortive attempts over the last couple of years. I did really well about 5 yrs ago, and lost 5 stone, but after surgery on both feet, it kind of crept up and kept on rising til I got where I am now.
My weigh in was 19st 12 (I'm 5'9) which is the heaviest I have ever been in my life.
My lovely orthopod told me in no uncertain terms that I have to lose weight, as my knees cant take it.
My blood pressure is up, and I know I'll have to start meds if I don't get some weight off. My GP has given me 3 months and if I have not shown signs of a downward trend, I will have to start on ace inhibitors.
My week 1 weigh in was -8lbs. I am pleased of course, but hope it will slow down to an achievable 1-2 lbs per week. From experience, I know that the heavier you are, the more you lose initially.
Its a mammoth (Literally) challenge, as I need to lose almost half my current weight. My goal is 11.5 which is a long way off, but I hope with small steps (and a slow steady loss,) I might get there .
It will take me a while, l know, but if I can average 2lbs a week loss and maintain the healthy eating, i might be a different person in July 2017.

Whew, that was a long one. Sorry!!

Not been here for a few days, so very late reporting in. I have been focused on my friend's 12 year old daughter, who underwent 15 hours of open heart surgery last week, which seems not to have been a success, as the last message from her mum was that they are now looking for a new heart for her :cry::cry:.
    T

Certainly puts our troubles into perspective. Hope there is some good news for your friend's family soon.

Well done you, musogirl! You’ve made a good, positive start to ditching the cola.

Well done, maman, tweets, debjay, Emmylou, mary and Denise.

What a pretty chart, shala - well done for your perseverance!

Hello, dini, new friends are always welcome here.

Stayed on track again today, 5 syns use so far and hexa cheese & grapes and fun size twix planned for later (may even not have that), so very happy about that. BTW has anyone else notice that, in Tesco, bags of fun size Milkway, Mars, Maltesers and Twix are £2.59 each, but you can buy 2 for £2? Crazy, but useful, she cackled.

    However, back on topic …

Friday’s, aka Danger Day’s, meal plan

Breakfast: Skyr blueberry & elderberry yogurt (1) and a banana
Lunch: <Jaws music plays in the back ground> lunch with friend
Dinner: hexb toast, beans, maybe fried egg
Snacks: 2 rice cakes with hexa Philly light, cucumber & tomato (3), fruit

I have ordered new scales and I expect them to arrive tomorrow. I’ll be scared to try them out in case they show my present ones were not only erratic but so badly calibrated that I’m much heavier than I thought!
