This is my first week with out a food diary (used the 4 from my pack and forgot to pick up any more :o) I know I should be writting it down somewhere but getting alittle clever with it all I think.

B: over night oats with frozen berries and strawberries (B)
L: lo roast chicken with cajun spice and mayo in a huge salad probably shouldn't of eaten it all but it was delicious :o
D: something with mince beef maybe chilli and rice with left over veggies from yesterday

He (A) milk for my skinny latte at knitting group tonight syns will be space raiders or a kitkat or even both!

A lazy day knitting on the sofa today as feeling rather weary and achey, may have something to do with the rollerskating I attempted to do at the weekend

I hate dress shopping Lush, really really depresses me. You will find one though that you really like and suits you well.

Don't let it get you down.

Don't be too disheartened Lush, aren't wedding dresses always cut small? Why they would do that for a day where a lady likes to feel special i dont know  they should cut them bigger so that you feel like you've dropped dress sizes before your big day...

Just grabbing 5 minutes as it's my busy day at work today.. been in since 7am :( Need to write my menu down to check it.. I have all my food with me today as i'll be here till gone 8pm :( i'm surrounded by cake again though as it's another office birthday! Must resist, must resist...

Pleased to see your loss, Lois- and, clearly, so are lots of other people. I know what you mean about the football chat regardless – I may have done this myself to my friends on occasion! :p

Hang in there, lush. Your perfect dress will find you when you least expect it.

Hope you're feeling a bit better, beanie.

Well I am scunnered. I am either STS this week or I’ve put on 3lbs!!! It depends whether I step on the scales with my right foot first, or my left! I’m going for the STS as I don’t think I’ve been that bad over the last couple of weeks. I think I need to buy new scales. I put them on the same tile in bathroom at the same time (first thing in the morning, before eating) every week and I always weigh naked so I don’t have to worry about the effect of different clothing! I always weigh 3 times to be sure, but today it was beyond ridiculous – right foot first consistently produced one result, left foot consistently gave the other! Can anyone recommend a good reliable set of scales?

Small change to today’s menu – DH won’t be home at lunch time so I won’t make the pasta ‘n’ sauce or I’ll eat it all. I had a baked potato with prawn mayo instead. That’s 2 syns today, including the scrape of jam on my toast this morning.

  • Just popping in to catch up on the thread and posting so I know where I'm at!

Been totally flexi for the last week, don't dare weigh in, hopefully I'll have the courage next week but then again we're visiting friends next weekend and someone has mentioned a curry. Had friends staying with us this weekend, one of whom works in product development for a company who makes cakes for the supermarkets and a big name brand, so she brought a massive bag full of cake with her. Had a week full of meals out, birthday celebrations and OH got a new job so there were celebrations for that too. It was a lot of fun, but I don't think I cooked once, and there was an awful lot of alcohol involved also!

So need to get back on track, starting tonight with hopefully a sw friendly dinner + leftovers for tomorrow's lunch and overnight oats for tomorrow's breakfast, and try and offload some of the cake at my bible study group tomorrow. I want to get "into the habit" before the next challenge starts so I can join in with that one.

Congrats to all the losers, positive vibes to those struggling and those with health problems. The overall mood of the forum seems to be improving, I hope that's a good sign for everyone!

Oh and thanks for the blog recommendation, I was looking for some sw blogs for inspiration. Think that's one to read at home through, rather than at work on my lunchbreak lol! Keep them coming....

    Yes another sad person here.
They must be having some big party in the big blue sky :(
    & it is only January.

Another one in a foul mood too.
    Fell again today.
Sixth time this week  &

Hugs Beanie, can I join the foul mood club. I am totally dissed off, still no answer as to what happened at new year, not a stroke and all tests coming back OK, As a precaution I have been prescribed Statins, not going t take them until somebody can tell me why I need them, I am to give up Smoking, OK can see the advantage of that so am now on day 4 of no smoking, no Wine OK don't really mind that, No coffee, now come on Doc that's a step to far, without my morning cuppa will just get back into bed and believe me with the mood I will be in its the best place for me:rotfl:.

And I reset my target to 9stone so now am struggling to give up smoking and trying to lose 4lbs was hoping to only pay my fiver for 2 or 3 weeks, but not so hopeful now.

Ahhh well love as you say Keep Plodding eh.

Lantanna youre doing great, love the news about the Man fingers crossed for you.

Congrats to all the losers hugs to the rest and welcome to newbies.

Lovely to see you back Meg, well done on the smoking. It is such a hard thing to stop doing. At least they can't be hard on you about your weight lovely because you have already well tackled that.

A new month already! Where did January go?

Welcome back Meg. Hopefully the tests will show what has happened. Good luck with the giving up smoking - it's really hard but keep plodding! I gave up nearly 4 years ago after almost 50 years of smoking (very naughty girl started smoking at the age of 12). Glad I finally managed it.

Didn't go massively over syns at the weekend (for a change, LOL!) so have about 10 syns a day from today until Wednesday.

    Today's plan:

B - porridge made with water, frozen fruit
L - crabstick salad - lettuce, cucumber, beetroot, tomato, spring onions, pepper, 2 ricotta stuffed peppers (7 syns)
D - LO roast chicken, chips & beans; Tbs tapendade (2 syns)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge

Have used the meat from the chicken legs to make a curry which will go into the freezer for later this month. Also a few bits which I'll use tomorrow with some chorizo in a ristotto. Pleased to get so many meals from a chicken - very :money:.

We have shocking wind here this afternoon.

I got held up on Friday after work and ended up sat on the Motorway for 2 hours as a lorry had overturned. Hopefully the weather doesn't cause any accidents tonight.

Can't wait to get home and eat my Spag Bol, got to stop at the gym first though.
