Good going with hoss too, sounds like she's coming on.
I am going to try and turn mine out thie w/e but I'm nervous given they've been in for a few months so worried they go crazy and fall in the field with it being slippy still
Thanks for dropping by, hoping weekend will be ok, of to visit potential house this evening.
Hope yours turnout ok, will you be able to keep them out everyday in the new place. Our grazing is pretty carp where I am, luckily have a hossie that lives on fresh air, but we are allowed turnout everyday whatever the weather and no restrictions on time, so can be out mega early and in mega late, especially in the summer.
Feeling a bit bah at the moment, just realised its 3 months today that mum died, she had only just gone (went at 3.30), just wondering where 3 months have goneDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning
So offer accepted on dad's house, went to look at other house is much better than first one, slightly cheaper and more space options for dad etc, put an offer in and has been accepted, now just to finalise everything and move  Moving 2 houses into 1 so much to do, but hopefully will work out
Financially the house move means sister is in better position, still has a mortgage but less and she wont be struggling for money each month as dad will be able to contribute, dad will have savings so if he does need to go into a care home he has some money for that, will have approx enough for 2 years straight off and then will be able to save some more in between so fingers crossed should be ok. Obviously for me will enable me to buy out ex and take on the mortgage by myself, cannot waitSo is good for us all round. Just need to get past the stress of moving and it should be ok.
So my weekend, knowing about moving and the weather raining on saturday went to dads to sort a few bits out. Had 4 bags of coal which were mine so have taken home, sorted out porch and now stacked well there. Managed to sell a workbench for £10, advertised a few other things but no buyers yet. Still a lot more things to sort so need to set some more time aside to do.
Saturday afternoon my boiler decided to stop working  had a plumber round sunday morning but couldnt fix straight away, thought maybe needed new circuit board, not happy, more money that I dont haveSo freezing saturday evening as no heating and hot water but luckily I have open fire in front room so used my free coal and wood and heated up majority of house ok.
So yesterday an impromptu day of work as plumber said he was coming back. Had some time in the morning so rode my hossiejust 15 mins walk and trot in school, I admit was a bit all over the place riding wise but not worrying too much at the moment as long as hossie is learning and going ok can sort myself out later. So came home did some surveys and mystery shop for insurance. Plumber phoned and speaking to someone he thought boiler may just need a reset, so following instructions and it worked again, huzzah and no pennies spent out :j
So this evening taking dad round to see new house, to show it looks ok.
Money wise some more survey and cashback money redeemed, waiting for it to land. Transferred my "spare" bills money to savings to earn a few pennies. Currently have £478 in fund, £276 to pay for car insurance and rest to pay for car mot and service which is this thursday, probably need more pennies for this but can use next months free c.tax and water and this should cover it and fingers crossed a few pennies left over. Good afternoon
So took dad to new house yesterday, he likes it, great, sister sorting out mortgage, solicitors etc so all going in the right direction. She has been to dad's and sorted a few bits, we went back last night whilst dad was at church meeting and got rid of 2 bin bags worth of papers and rubbish, you have to do it whilst he is out otherwise will be moving 40 years of hoarded rubbish! He is doing church group for couple of hours for next 5 weeks so at least that is a good opportunity for us to get rid of bits easily.
Dad has his brain scan today for his dementia, sister was taking this morning, not sure how long results take, watch this space. Dad apparently has made "notes" on the official diagnosis letter he was sent regarding this, sister has seen but I havent, things like cant remember stuff as he didnt hear, which is all denial as we write things down and he still doesnt remember. Also about lunch, dont think he eats much apart from fruit and chocolate, if that, we make sure he has a proper big meal in the evening and we are awaiting to hear back from social services regarding extra care so not much more we can do. He has lost weight but again what can we do, doctors are on the case, and he isnt a spring chicken any more, will be 82 in June, so just wait and see I suppose.
Good news money wise, sold another thing on ebay, waiting for it to be paid, £25 worth of sainsbugs gift vouchers landed from survey site so helps towards next months grocery bill. Spent the £10 on selling work bench on some travel boots for the hossie, friend was selling cheap, not 100% fit but good enough for now and at least no extras to spendDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Glad everything is going well, fingers crossed it goes through smoothly and every can move in with no hassle.
If you Dad does get extra care they can help monitor his food intake, the staff I work with record each meal especially for high risk service users or those that would generally not be too fused about food. So make sure they are aware of this. Not sure how far advanced his Dementia is until after results but I'm sure you and you sister can see even subtle changes. One thing I tell the staff is to remember there's a difference in someone's capacity, e.g. making a complex decision or making decision about what to have to eat so don't pressume to make a judgement because someone has Dementia or Alzheimer's.
Sometimes photographs or object spark memories as well as writing things down so use a number of reminiscence tools, music is also a really powerful tool.

Thanks Chyrsalis again for dropping by, we monitor his food at the moment by seeing what he eats in the evening and doing his shopping. It isnt too bad yet I think, but keeping an eye out. When we first spoke to doctor they werent too concerned as dad not doing much exercise etc. had brain scan yesterday so when get results back will go from there regarding what to do next.
So…all other things going ok till got home last night – vet bill on the doorstep, thought odd didn’t think owed anything. Anyhow looking back it turns out I do. So I paid my vet £800 for hossies cut etc. But at the time the first vet who came out to her (practices share emergency call out’s) hadn’t invoiced my vet yet, so got that bill yesterday, so bummer have to pay £415So total for phi’s cut and 5 stitches - £1215  Double !!!! it
So to add to my joy my car is in for MOT and service today.
So I have £487 in savings, £350 in rental deposit and £240 from uncle to go towards mum gravestone. In theory shouldn’t use the rental fund and money from uncle as already set aside. But if I don’t want to go into anymore debt need to use these temporarily.
So I have £1077 at my disposal, so car insurance due in few days £276, vet bill £415 leaves me with £386. Hopefully car will be less than this, fingers crossed.
So have £209 next month to put back straight away into savings from free council tax and water month and rent rise. Still need to repay the rental and uncle fund but that isn’t desperate yet as long as there when need it. So all savings scrapped until those funds are built up again.
My next money need to be saved is hossie annual injections which will be due in April, approx £140. Who knows where we will be in April financially especially with the imminent house move but will just keep doing what I am doing for now and will survive somehow.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

So service and MOT approx cost £300 - garage called need 3 new tyres - £80 each, so with the maths well over what I have saved
So will have enough to cover the costs for all the bills if you include next months money but then thats it, am skint and £350 and £240 to find from somewhere to make up the borrowed savings. Insert swear words as appropriate
Suppose I saved £80 on one tyre because had to have that replaced last year! Least nothing else majorly wrong with the car.
Good news, has to be some doesnt it £50 amazon voucher has landed from energy supplier after switching tarriff, have spent £30 already on a new bathroom light, desperately needed as my one isnt safe. Least no extra pennies spent. Still have £20 left in account so can use that for gifts later on in the year.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

OMG, and I was grumbling about my £201 vet bill that covered call-out, 2 x tetanus jabs for the boys, examination of M's foot and hanging around for the farrier, plus the dog's vaccinations and a can of sheep spray! That's horrendous0

Yes but that was for 5 visits, first one which is the £415 was for out of hours visit (8pm) and he was there over 1hr and she had 2 sedations, 5 stitches, big injection antibiotics and the associated bandages etc.
Times like these think about having insurance but I can bet you that if I had claimed on this (prob £200 odd excess at least) then she wouldnt have been insured anymore on that leg . Unfortunately just have to suck up the bill and pay.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Morning, thank goodness its friday
So my car bill was £560  Had budgeted £300 which it would have been approx so at least that is ok.
So small ebay sale has paid and added a few pennies to my insurance fund.
So funds stand at:
£488 insurance etc savings
£350 rental deposit
£240 from uncle (for mum headstone)
Total £1077
Bills to pay:
£276 car insurance
£415 vet bill
£560 car bill
Total £1251
So £174 to find.
So next month will get:
£50 rent raise
£124 council tax
£35 water
Total £209
So enough to cover the extra bills and £35 to put back to replacing the savings that I have raided.
So not a good scenario to have to raid money that is put aside for other things, but at least not adding to my debt.
All "extras" for now on half, will go on replacing the £350 and £240 and half will go to the insurance fund as still need to pay those bills too
Always a long haul but at least some progress has been made in the mindset as previously would have put on credit card and paid if off eventually but would be on the same merry go round. Its boring this merry go round and I want to get off
So for now the car bill is on the credit card, will pay the vet bill on the credit card in a few days and then transfer as appropriate, car insurance due out of account so there will be small balance on the credit card until payday and can transfer remaining funds over there but will be paid of before interest charges hit.
Some good news because it cant all be depressing, sold a generator we had in garage, ex bought it when we were together (waste of money, sigh, as always) used it a few times and has been sitting in parents garage for 4 years. So guy came round last night was going to get £50 but it wouldnt start (sure it will but he was willing to take it on the fact it didnt start). So ended up selling for £40. To be honest could have got a lot more but just wanted to get rid of it and £40 is better than nothing.
So have put aside £25 already for farrier for next month, leaves me £15 in purse. Dont need to spend on anything at the moment so will keep for now and use as needs be.
This weekend aim to try and see what else can sell, have lots of old toys etc from parents house so will put up on local selling sites to see what happens. Anything we sell will be a bonus again as just need to get rid of stuff before we move.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning
So bad things first - our little yard shetland, our mascot so to say sadly went to rainbow bridge yesterday, he had lay down in the night and then couldnt get back up, we all sat with him yesterday morning before the vet came and gave him lots of cuddles. He was 27 so a good age but will be sadly missed, it will be very strange not to see him escaping and wandering round all the time in and out of store rooms, stables and just generally being annoying
So good things, cleared some more poo of field slowly looking better, gave hossie a good groom, didnt ride as planned to on sunday but spent time with the little shetland as above.
Money wise been quite a successful weekend, didnt spend a penny all weekend, have paid of the car bill from savings account, have paid the vet bill today and will pay of the cc in a few days. Savings accounts depleted but at least not on credit. Sold a crate of wine to a friend, always get a crate from work for Xmas but never drink it, made £50, good money for me and a good deal for my friend. Dont need that money so will use it for groceries or the like and then put the "savings" in bank aside to put back towards the depleted accounts. Sister had sorted loads of old baby clothes so have boot full to take to cash 4 clothes at lunch today. A few more pennies to add to the pot.
Need to spend today as need to order hoss food for the month, dont get paid till Wednesday but will put on card and pay of then. Need to order today for delivery later in the week. Will be on budget though.
Minimum payment for Bcard gone out today, now under £8k, just at £7955 but all a downward trend and be less to have to pay off when get inheritence so a bit more to put away in savings.
Lastly called my mobile provider, currently pay approx £35 in bills, am keeping current phone but now only a sim only plan at £13/month. Much better and I do have the option of a possible free upgrade if I need it later for being a loyal customerDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
