Good morning (just)
So weekend was good, went to Battle (free EH membership) had lunch in the sun then went for a wander round Rye Nature reserve. Spent £11 on KFC for dinner but friend provided food friday evening, food for packed lunch and sunday dinner so not too bad. Sunday went and spent money I dont have £50 on new rug for front room, which make a big difference.
House move is pushing ahead at throttle speed, we are looking at moving dad out by next thursday  Havent completed on other house yet so dad will have to temporarily move in with sister, be chaos but hopefully not for long.
Impromtu afternoon off yesterday and met a man with a van and took away load of rubbish, great to get rid of, now most at dads if a bit of rubbish left can easily be put in the back of the car.
Removal men are coming tomorrow evening for quote for removal and temporary storage. Have booked thursday off as at sisters as got electrician coming round to finalise few bits.
Havent really stopped to breathe.
So bad things is that my electrics upstairs blew yesterday so have no lights upstairs, bar bedside lamp, is fun peeing in the dark , luckily think just a minor thing and electrician can come to mine on thursday and hopefully correct the problem. More money to spend though.
My hossie has gone lamelimping on her front leg, nothing obvious, had farrier down for routine trim anyhow and there is nothing wrong with feet, no heat or swelling, just wait and see for now and see if it heals/gets worse. Argh
Totally fed up with the world sometimes, would be very nice to cut a break sometimes, fed up of things going wrong/breaking
Good news, sold a few items on ebay so £9 odd withdrawn from paypal. Had the mystery shopping payment landed and some extras from bills account, all transferred to insurance fund. So need £485 plus £48 for plumber. Total now is £249 so plumber sorted, will sort cheque tonight and a good way on to the target.
Have ordered some hoss food (enough for month) today and put on CC, £79 but my budget will cover this after payday next week, just ordering early.
So the good thing about moving although manic will be that will get my money from Dad to finally be debt free and take on the mortgage by myself, finally buy the ex outBe a while down the line but its looking hopeful. Cannot wait, then be to get that mortgage gone

Good morning
So been manic since last post. Removals quoted and booked, all ready to go this wednesday and thursday.
Thursday had day off sorted sisters electrics and electrician fixed my bathroom light tooBrought home all the for sale bits from dads house, my house now looks like hoarders hell but will get through it all somehow  Dug up a few plants from dads garden and transported to my house, cut my grass, sorted my feed delivery and did all my washing including changing bed. Shattered but good to get it all done.
Friday was bad and ended up getting a chinese, £17  but ate for leftovers yesterday, just too tired this week.
Saturday started to pack up dads house with sister, sold various items through the day too, gave £20 to bro in law for his help and made £35 myself, promptly spent £7 on that on another takeaway but was just so very tired.
Yesterday finished packing most of the house, £25 made on selling various bits but gave to sister as she bought some stuff for lunch. Had leftover chinese so didnt spend a penny. Did massive tip run of broken up furniture which we couldnt sell.
Am shattered and coming down with a cold. At work today for a rest :rotfl: Still lots to sort though. Need to pick up rest of random bits today from dads and wedge into my house somewhere. Tuesday evening packing up rest of dads misc bits.
Sister is having wednesday off and them I am off thursday to help finish removals and clean the house ready to hand over.
Moneywise debt on Sains CC is at £251  This includes:
£50 rug bought last weekend
£79 on hoss food
£55 on sisters MOT
£49 full tank fuel
£17 on chinese
So £70 sent over today which was money from sister and misc from budget. Hoss food budget is £75 and expenses due at end of month will clear this back to 0.
In the meantime min payment from barclaycard has gone out so now stands at £7776.
Small sale on ebay over the weekend and a few pounds sent to insurance fund, now at £270
Still have £50 in current account, need to do fresh top up shop with groceries, have £7 tesco vouchers plus about £40 in cash from weekend so shouldnt need to spend any of that money. Can roll forward to next month and put in savings.
Will do new post for financial targets and how getting on.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

runs in (well crawls in as knackered) dads house sold, countless tip runs and boxes moved but all sorted for now.
Quick update, first lot of money transferred to me
So barclaycard and sainsburys CC paid off :j:j:j
Have topped up savings pots, so rental fund, mums headstone money and rest of insurance money needed all up to where they should be
Have put £906 in an emergency fund
So the rest of the money in an ISA for now and then wait till get rest of the amount and can then approach bank to sort mortgage out and pay of ex, cant wait.
So in the midst of all the excitement of being in fact debt free and the mortgage in my grasp it is with a tinge of sadness as this would not have been possible if my mum would have been alive. Now I would rather be penniless and forever in debt and have my mum but it was not to be. So I am doing the next best thing and sorting out my finances which my mum would be proud of me for
So my ways that I have learnt recently re budgeting will stay with me now.
So keeping this diary as still lots to do, but for now am having a thursday having a wee mini celebrationDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

I haven't had a read of your diary since you got the offer on the house so wow, what a month it's been. Congratulations on the house sale and having the offer accepted on the new one. Glad your dad likes it too. How long until you complete on it?
Sorry to hear about the horse troubles. Poor wee shetlandHow is your hossie? Is she still lame?
Belated happy birthday:beer: and finally yay to being debt free:j:T Your mum would have been proud of you anyway but yes, I am sure she would be delighted at knowing you have learned how to budget...and we'll all keep an eye on you for her :rotfl:The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Good morning
Back at work after a nice long weekend. Friday out for lunch with sister for her birthday, out again yesterday for lunch with family. Sunday had nephew stay over night and then lots of puddle fun at the yard yesterday, he was soaked but happy. Sorted some stuff out in the house, sold a pressure washer so £10 made, caught up with sleep, did food shopping, so nothing exciting but all good.
Thanks Scottish Mummy for dropping by, not sure on the other house completion, sister chasing up today so fingers crossed not too long, helped sister pack up a few more boxes of hers yesterday but cant do too much until a definite date set.
My hossie looks ok, havent ridden her for a while due to house move but hopefully look at her this weekend to see if all ok.
So debt wise, checked Barclaycard and balance shows as 0other CC not showing yet but should be tomorrow. Not going to count debt free until mortgage signed over and ex paid of house signed over.
I do have savings but these are all counted for bar £900 emergency fund which dont want to touch, so many things I would like to save up for and then my ultimate goal of being mortgage free. So sticking around here and carrying on working hard until I can reach that as it would be so easy to fall back into the trap of debt again.
Good things though is budget is much better now as was spending £180 a month on min credit card payments so that can be used to save/balance the books better so already a good startDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
