Just read the whole thread, what a horrible end to last year. I am glad that 2016 seems to be going more your way.
With regards to the homes and being paid out etc, do make sure that everything is agreed as regards your dad house sale money. I am NOT saying that anything will go wrong, however I have seen a few stories where one member of the family diddled another member out of their share.
I am glad that you have all been able to benefit

Hello, thanks for dropping by and wow to reading all the thread. Yep crappy end to the year and this year although some good still some carp with Dad's Alzheimers and the hoss, hoping it can only get better
Thanks re dads money too, sister is in theory getting more but that is due to dad moving in, overall I believe we have divided the money fairly and still leaving enough for dad to live on as needs be for now and the future. Am lucky that my sister and I are very close and share similar outlook on life so the likelihood of it going pear shaped is pretty small.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning
NSD yesterday, did pay for dads paper subscription renewal but will get that refunded from dad so not counting it. Managed to sell my old dining room chairs as have mums now, so old ones not needed £15 made, bargain for them and extra pennies for me
Speaking to sister yesterday and she is struggling a bit with full time work, running a house, looking after a 6 year old boy, sorting dad and trying to sort after school care too. It would be better for her mentally if she could go part time. She cant do until summer holidays are here, but its definitely something she is considering. Lots of options to think about. She is getting into a routine with dad so thats ok, am doing all I can, even just me sorting boring things like paperwork etc is a big help so we are sharing the load as evenly as we can and we both realise that so thats good. We are going to get the council back once we move to sort out a re-assessment of care needs so that will help as well. Its all watch this space but there will be positives and we are making the right decisions so thats ok.
Need to get some fresh bits shopping today, got a list and will stick to it, money in budget for it.
Looking at the mortgage and house value from the mortgage provider I will have 69% equity in the propertyThats fab, now to get my savings up to a good level and that get that up to 100%!!

Good afternoon, its nearly the end of Monday which is great as have a cracking headache
Weekend was good and non spendy, saturday spent the day with nephew for his 6th birthday, did mini golf, party at friends and lots of lego building time. He loved his presents too and as they were all technically free even betterNeed to give sister about £5 for mini golf as she paid. Sunday gave hossie a good groom, weeded and tidied up my front and back garden and then re-listed some ebay bits.
Chased up ex today regarding sorting out the mortgage etc and solicitors so hopefully can get that sorted this week, fingers crossed. Will give it a few days and chase again if needs be. Then will be officially debt free and can start afresh with money/budget etc.
Feeling a bit meh at the moment with work, we are struggling to get work and boss has loaded some pressure on me which could really do without, never signed up to this particular part of my job and have always made it clear that I am not the right person to do it. Could do without the stress of it all really, what with everything that has happened over the last few months dont need any more pressure
Am just wondering now whether to look for a new job somewhere, maybe its time to jump ship and be brave and start again somewhere, I just dont know. I have been here for 12 years , the moneys not great but am 15 mins commute of home and they have been good with family issues recently.
The other thing is (and I havent told anyone else yet unless you count the hoss :rotfl:) is that I think I would like to have children. Now unfortunately time is not on my side, just turned 38, oh and the whole being single isnt helping :rotfl: I am thinking about making an appointment with the doctors and seeing about options, havent investigated anything yet just thoughts keep going through my mind.
Would like OH, have been single for just under 18months now which is ok, I think if mum hadnt died and all the worries with dad etc hadnt come about would be in the right frame of mind to find an OH, but I dont think I am at the moment, am not going to turn down any opportunities that come round but am not actively looking and dont really feel emotionally right to start looking to.
Its all just a bit of a mess in my head sometimes, but suppose that is to be expected
If I do decide to go seriously down the route of children then the best option is to stay in the job for obvious reasons, lots of thinking to do and think for now just need to keep my options open.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning
Havent dropped in for a while, life has been busy, had annual vet for hoss, that went ok, managed to have enough in current account to pay bill so didnt have to touch savingsHossie now not lame so need to start working her again.
Finally have a day for moving sisters house so all go there organising removals etc and packing, will be a busy bank holiday weekend.
Still waiting on final bits for my house to go through but it is a work in progress.
Uncle has paid for rest of mum memorial so dont have to worry about paying for that.
Various pennies have come through, 2 giftcards, one for sains shop and one to put towards new microwave, all through surveys and bank rewards. Small ebay sale, all put towards savings.
Just feel in a bit of limbo at the moment, cant move forward much with budget and house planning/forward saving/overpaying mortgage until its all gone through and ex paid off, hopefully when its comes back will be a bit more full of beansDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
