Great news on the mortgage. Has your Ex still been contributing? Or will this make any difference to your repayments in some way?
Will be fantastic to get all these big things behind you. On a much smaller scale, I've found it so much easier to keep going when I saw my big overdraft paid off. Apart from an accidental few pounds here and there I've not been back into it in nearly 2 years. Suddenly we have some savings etc, and it feels amazing.
Keep going with that emergency fund. :T
Hello, no ex hasnt contributed since he left so have figures of house valuation and mortgage when he left and will work from there, watch this space.
Am happy no more overdraft charges, used to pay between £5 and £10 a month so better off and like you say so much easier to work out what you haveDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good afternoon, so a half day in the middle of the day to take dad to memory clinic, went ok, officially diagnosed with Alzheimers Dementia so although not great, sort of to be expected given his age. Looking at starting some medication to help, wont stop it but may slow the decline. Need to sort other medication our first due to low pulse but hopefully that is fixable. Lots more appointments.
Nothing it seems is ever straightforward in my life but suppose at least we are getting somewhere.
In other unstraightforward news, hoss still seems to be lame, nothing obvious which is really annoyingGot the vet coming on the 20th to do annual injections and teeth so can get him to look properly then if no change.
Good news £6 received from survey site so sent to emergency fundDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Hossie, yes may not be sound but didnt stop her jumping out the field yesterday and then giving the yard owner the run around and refuse to be caught, so had to barricade her by the school and then when I got down luckily she let me catch her fine, naughty pony :rotfl:Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Morning, thanks all for dropping by
Spoke to solicitor this morning, as soon as offer drops on her mat she will get the ball rollingSpoke to ex and he has agreed lump sum of £15K, solicitor will draw up relevant papers for that.
Once all the above is done and signed and mortgage transferred will I declare myself offically debt freeThen to get rid of the mortgage, new start, new SOA etc, cant wait.
Weekend was good, went with sister and nephew to see Lion King in London, nephew enjoyed it, then went for Pizza Hut, lovely afternoon outSunday cleared more of my field of poo, slowly getting on top of it, I can see an end in sight, then came home and tidied and sorted my living room, finally put down my new rug and put up a family picture. One room "tidy", only the rest of the house to go! Would love to redecorate front room but it will do for now. Have massive house list to think about but will do it all eventually.
Hossie still not right, had farrier down saturday morning as she had grown really long, less than 4 weeks, but he is away so good to get done before he goes. Vet next week. Will try and get on top of whats wrong somehow. Just frustrating but with mum, issues with dad, house moving etc just havent really had much timeFell guilty a bit but what can I do.
Feels like life at the moment is on a huge rollercoaster, ever since mum got ill, and am getting a bit bored and stressed with it all now and would quite like to get off!Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
