Each to their ownLooking at piles of dirty laundry strewn on the floor, even in an orderly heap in the corner, would make me a bit stressed.
I like the feeling of putting the dirties in a basket and then putting the lid on them. Sweaty/dirty clothes piled up on the floor is a probably a bit of a hygiene issue, too.left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense

I couldn't care less which loo a guest uses
Personally I hate en-suites, I believe people should ablute well away from the bedroom. But 2 bathrooms are a must.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

To think people used to use a gazunder and sleep with it under the bed _pale_ I suppose back then it was either that or go outside in the freezing cold.
Slightly off topic, but it reminds me of a coffee shop I sometimes go to. The toilet door opens straight out onto the cafe  I keep thinking, surely that's a hygiene issue.
I never use that loo anyway (unless I'm absolutely desperate!) - they have just one toilet for about 100+ customers, all drinking strong coffee and eating rich food. The stench in there hits you like a bunch of fives as soon as the door is opened :rotfl:left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense

I couldn't care less which loo a guest uses, but I am horrified that people leave dirty clothes on the floor! Who leaves dirty pants on the bathroom floor???Can't help agreeing. How long does it take to pick up a pair of knickers and throw them in the laundry basket?
I wouldn't encourage people to go into my bedroom, though. It's my space, and bearing in mind, even nice people snoop!PasturesNew wrote: »Not everybody has one. I don't. Have to agree. I can't imagine leaving dirty knickers lying about; I mean it's just gross really. I wouldn't want my husband and daughter to see them even; and certainly not my daughter's boyfriend who comes around. Imagine that? His girlfriend's 50-something mum's dirty knickers on the floor. EWWWWWWW!
I don't particualrly want my husband or daughter's dirty underwear lying about either.
Everything goes into our wash basket in the bathroom.
Maybe I am just a clean and tidy person who thinks cleanliness is important.
BTW, we only have 1 bathroom/1 loo and no en suite, but it has rarely been an issue.
I really don't get the 'laundry baskets are odd shapes' and 'they are ugly' comments. Every laundry basket is just round or square surely?
Also, we have a Costa in town with a loo that opens right out on to the coffee shop itself. Is that the coffee shop you are on about Heuchera?Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!

What is wrong with putting your washing in your own laundry basket in your own room, not the bathroom!
Saves all that worry about who sees what in the bathroom. If that is what worries you.0 -

Yes it is a Costa Coffee shop. Could it be the same one, or do they have a habit of having their toilet doors opening directly out onto the cafe where people are drinking and eating in all their branches  :rotfl:?left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense

I don't have an ensuite but it would not worry me if people go into our bedroom. I always tidy up our bedroom before guests arrive anyway as we tend to put coats on our bed as our coat cupboard gets too full! I think I would try and avoid going into someone's ensuite though unless I knew them very well and would ask if it is ok first.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I live alone. Nobody ever comes round. Nobody ever goes upstairs except me. I have a loo downstairs and a bathroom upstairs. My knicks are only ever in my bedroom.0 -

Maybe he wants to use the loo in there because the other one is being used!
Dirty knickers should not be lying about on the floor. Any floor. It's gross and disgusting. End of.Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!
