    Morning Turtles!:hello:

I couldn't post yesterday, as we were travelling back from London and I then spent the afternoon snuggled on the sofa watching my favourite detective dvds. I thought I'd better get my act together and went for a 2 mile hike' not far but it was cold and dark, but I needed the fresh air!

My niece gave me a lovely boxed chocolate cake.....yum.....when I left London. It's a different world there. I can't believe how much my niece wastes, food wise. She admits racing around the supermarket throwing things into her trolley and ends up throwing most if it in the bin! :naughty:
I've given her a good talking to and have challenged her not to spend unnecessarily! :)

This is my 14th SFD. I know I have to shop before 19th as I have coupons that will expire, but I will cram all my spending in that day, so I need a gameplan. Ninja style!:rotfl:

I love reading all about your individual days, some exciting and some full of trials and even sad, but always inspiring!:j

  • Morning all

Sorry I haven't updated for a few days. I haven't done a 'big shop' yet this year with me doing the exante diet but this has meant that I have been doing more top up bits and buying as we need (or rather as hubby and son need mostly). Yesterday bread and veg was needed and ice cream for the boy so I ordered some more shakes and bars while I was at it! Today will be a spendy day as we are off to the vets for vaccinations. Didn't spend anything Mon after refusing a request from the boy for chippy chips for tea after swimming and agreeing to have them every other week instead. Makes swimming a dear job if we go to the chippy every week as he has 1:1 lessons  Tuesday and Wed were also spend free so not doing to bad.

Ebay selling is going ok. Slow progress but a dozen sales or so each week. I have about 40 things listed but need to get some more on. I am trying to clear out some avon stock not making any profit on most of it but at least it isn't just sitting in the cupboard.

Diet is going ok too. Lost 8lb in my first week which I am really chuffed about. I get hungry most days but some are better than others and I am supplementing my 3 meal replacements with low carb food - salad, mushrooms, courgettes, eggs, tofu and the like to get me through. I haven't cheated at all and haven't had any alcohol (for Jan) so feeling rather proud of myself :D

Right, I think that is about it for now. I will try to post more regularly, sorry :o

Need to update my sig then off to catch up on posts! Happy Friday!

TOG aww my feet were hurting in sympathy. Remember yrs ago having to walk home in high heels in the snow, car got stuck. Horrid cried in pain so cold and fell over all the time. Lesson learnt spare boots kept in car now. Hope you recovered.

Chocolate promotion congratulations well deserved no doubt.

FunBrum I am dribbling here your chocolate cake sounds so yummy.

PurpleJay - wicked amount to loose in a week. Well done. Wish I could stop eating at the moment.

Woke up this morning feeling so sad and tearful exactly 2 years since my sister passed away with Dementia. Life can suck at times so going to pop out for a teatime drink with a friend today. Youngest daughter popping over later on. Didn't think I would be this upset today.

Rubbish start to morning didn't help Drs appointment getting no where fast. She was helpful but I am so stressed out as condition isn't clearing up.

Moaning over No SFD for me yesterday went to Aldee amazed by choice of food there, moving from lidls. Spent over 30 pounds. Today won't be SFD due to pub visit.

Paid 20 off cc1 today and 15 to EF.

Glad we haven't got snow, temperatures are a worry with my bunny in the garage. Well wrapped up and has special hot water bottle in cage.

Will work on meal planning over weekend as I am officially rubbish at this. x

    Hugs to you calling :(

So I've got a bit off track, not been counting NSD's but think I'm only on 3, can't stop buying junk snacks and dinners. Really need to stop this as its a waste of money as well as meaning I'm not loosing weight :(

Feeling a bit out of control and finances all over the place. Bathroom is now finished (well except the sealant) which will be done today. Looks very nice. Means I can stop buying stuff for it. I've got loads of tiles to return (keeping one box) and also a pot of tile adhesive. I could not believe how much that cost and nearly died when I found out! £45 for the big tub! Luckily didn't need the small one so can return that. Just need to find out the cost for the repair in the other bathroom and can pay the plumber. I have got the money saved up for that.

Also ordered a new mattress today for my room. I replaced mine and the guest one in the summer and I went for a firm as it felt so comfy. It is comfy to lie on but I'm waking up with backpain during the night and very stiff. I've been sleeping on the guest one this week and no pain and not waking up as much so I have bitten the bullet and ordered a new one. £176 from Argos on my 0% card. Going to try and sell mine. Paid £300 in the summer so it's 6 months old anod had a protector. Not sure how much to ask for - maybe £100?

I need to not use my cards to get up to date balances. The plan was to clear my 0% cc using the money from my regular saver when it matured but I have now spent more than will be in the saver account so need to work out how much extra to save. Will save as much as I can anyway and then use that for the card then build up EF

Hope everyone is having a lovely day :(

x-Raphael-x it didn't matter that DS3 had my laptop as I went to sleep at 8.30pm and apart from trips to the loo, I slept until 11.30am. I have had a bath and not planning a lot today (would have gone back to mum's if I felt energetic). Going to get more library books - the 4 I have are a bit 'heavy' (on page 31 of one thriller, very well written but with a focus on the nastier side of nature. If I was frightened of spiders I wouldn't have got past the introduction). Will take the cds etc before I get tempted - I need less stuff.

Catwoman I too have had some very noisy neighbours. One side has only recently got better but not looking forward to summer when she sunbathes/ entertains visitors/ phones everyone she knows in the back yard. Positives are that terraces are much warmer, huddled together for warmth.

    Hugs Calling.

I may be back at the library next week. DS3 is trying to 'dry out' his on the radiator (one of the house bits that needs fixing dripped on it) but has asked to borrow mine/ use the old one if his friend fixes it. His business is much more internet based than mine (he made £600 over Christmas, doing drawings for people and has commissions for 2 new games - tailor-made to someone's specs but then he can sell extra copies to other people afterwards). I don't want to disrupt him when things are going well (he was short on ideas before Christmas) and I would probably have it back in the daytime as he is usually asleep. he's using beloved's whilst she is still here. His November sales are due from the biggish site he uses, so he wants to keep an eye on it and move it across when it arrives. He's talking about completing paying off his overdraft and starting a savings account.

Yesterday I spent £2.70 on bus fares and £2.70 on a taxi (because I had the bag of cds etc and only one bus an hour in the evening). I bought one thing from my 'debt-free wish list' but was given some birthday money in advance so the spend can come from that, It was a pack of 4 cartridge heads for my razor (I used the disposable ones DS2 left behind and since then used DS3's - he has a full beard and moustache atm and hasn't done any cross-dressing cos-plays recently so doesn't really use it).

I was going to buy a lipstick but couldn't find a shade I liked in the range that I know won't bring me out in lumps. I have been trying to do little pampering bits - the passport photos were shocking. I am not vain. I rarely look in a mirror (just to check I won't frighten the horses or make babies cry) but seeing how dreadful I look was a shock. I usually smile at people which makes a big difference and my hair being scraped back doesn't help. I have used a hot flannel in the bath to gently 'steam' my face and that seems to be helping. I have some red hair colour but atm the 'joy' it will bring is cancelled out by the pain and effort of cleaning the bathroom afterwards.

I also did a good deed yesterday. Can't even remember what it was but someone said 'that's your good deed for the day'.

Today I am grateful for hot flannels and cold tea (eyes much less sore), for libraries, for the support of turtles, for my new badges from MSE Badger.

catwoman meant to say i live in a terrace and my neighbours have a lot of wooden flooring. it was quite noisy when they moved in as there were no furnishings so was very echoy and they were obviously doing a lot of noise as they unpacked and built things. i very rarely hear them now so hopefully it will settle down. i have wooden floors throughout my house as its the original boards stripped back so hopefully i don't annoy my neighbours!
