    Evening all :)
Managed an 8th NSD - there was a small (£5) business spend, but I am not counting business costs as part of this challenge. Hope that is ok :o
  • Good evening everyone :)
Sorry I've not really kept up with this months challenge have been really busy.
Had a car accident last week (both me and car are ok, was sitting at a round about and someone hit my car while I was waiting, just a bit of shock and now waiting on car to be repaired)
We went up North to see hubby's family last weekend so was busy up there.
And I have just been promoted at work so was prepping for interview and now prepping for new job :D
Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone and I've not forgotten about you all!!
Don't know how many NSD's I've achieved (not a lot) or anything and not had a chance to catch up, just hope you're all well :)
    xx

    Hi All

Today was a NSD. We never got around to the radiators but hope to do that tomorrow.

Will definitely be a spend day tomorrow as we are running low on milk. I could possibly last out until Saturday but I hate shopping on the weekend. So I will pop out for milk and check if there is anything else that will be needed over the next few days.

Very cold here today so just about to go up for a nice soak in a hot bath and then read my book in bed.

    Nite all

    Chez x

Today I am grateful for having central heating that works, for my lovely dh cooking tea for us, for bumping into a good friend, for a sunshiney lunch duty outside, for a phone call from my big sie.

Quick check in as DS3 is doing a vulture imitation and wants my laptop - he has played the 'guest' card. It would be rude to deny 'our guests' entertainment.

I have spent money. Had a lovely session with my counsellor and then headed to mum's. Everyone now in agreement over what needs to be done (except mum still wants woodchip on the walls) before they move in. Contracts should be exchanged tomorrow (vendor still being an idiot) so may be spending a lot of time on it in the next few weeks.

Sorted 2 small drawers at mum's and have a bagful of cds, dvds and cassettes (3 VHS tapes binned) for the charity shop.

You get them in the vegetarian frozen section at Tesco (other brands may be available) they're made from leeks and cauliflower and cheese. Very yummy and a nice meat free option that isn't soya :)

Ah really glad I asked now, sounds very nice. Will seek them out.:D

Xspender - we had a similar issue with DD and a boy in her class last year, I wish now that I had taken it further as the head was useless and I have since found out that the boy had been expelled from another school for violence (and this is primary school), having seen his father having a go at him in front of everyone it is easy to see where he gets it from. My advice would be to take it as far as you can.

Thank you Dolly. I am back home this evening so will be ringing the school tomorrow. I believe the other child has behavioural problems but his behaviour needs to be managed better. DS is a very happy boy who loves school and I don't want this to change.

Good luck with the IVA, we went through this ourselves, although redundancy meant we did get out of it earlier. This site is full of fantastic advice on how to save money and earn a bit extra.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
