How to deal with racist family members

Thank you everyone, i am not being rude and i will answer you all, i am having a day off the racist thing, they haven't made any comments for a couple of days, which i am very happy about, i was getting very stressed over it.

I'll check back on this thread over the weekend, please still share your stories, it really helps

Some of my relatives are racist. I've always strongly challenged their views, they no longer make racist remarks in my presence.

Nowadays their is a lot of prejudice against Muslims and always when they are bron skinned they are automatically thought of as Muslim.

This is where people say racism against Muslims they mean racism against brown skinned people.

Anyway just my two cents, I am of a different race to my wife, my parents and family have met her once in 14 years we have been together and they don't want to know.

I speak to them on the phone but visiting in person is very rare now

I fully understand your situation and the frustration you can feel all the time. But as some have already said, ignore their words, because it is clear they are not going to change.
