Like Aldi PE victims, I can't recall any of The Range customers being issued with court papers.
It might be helpful in building a better picture here if regulars responding to fresh Equita threads ask the OP for the name of the retailer, or the name of the parking location. It might help confirm that these are 'Not For Court' cases.
@ Umkomaas PE do issue court papers with the Range.......

I can also confirm they are active with pursuing court claims at the Range.0 -
because of the non existent details no?
No date, no time, no car registration, no photographic evidence and most importantly no location!
Letters have a vague (very)
then
The pattern I am seeing is that they were sent to those who ignored completely the automated letters that was sent out by ParkingEye in 2013
So it's 2013 this week, next week 2014 batch?

Email Morrisons on that email (yes, it does work, it's the one that generates from their 'contact us' form) and ask them to cancel it, explain you are a Morrisons customer and are horrified etc. etc. Quote the PCN reference. Do not try to recall what happened nor 'appeal' to Morrisons.
NEVER TOO LATE to complain about Parking Eye and ALWAYS worth emailing Morrisons.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks 4CR - completely forgot about those. I'm still hoping we can see a pattern develop in this latest blitz. Nothing jumping out just yet, but early days.
I remember the day I got more heavily involved in all this stuff was when one of mine got a PE LBA for Aldi, i got the PCN cancelled, so never saw out whether the LBA would turn into court papers (we perhaps know more on that score now). I spotted that one or two others were receiving PE LBAs, noted the common retailer and started the long-running PE/Aldi thread, which spawned the Facebook campaign on Aldi's FB.
Just that one ticket and LBA from PE has probably cost them (and other PPCs) dearly having dragged me into the fight! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I called Equita as soon as I received the same letter and spoke to a young lady who could only give me the date of the parking ticket. I did not divulge any info on who was driving etc. She was very keen for me to set up a repayment plan or make some contribution towards it (my fine is £135 and the offence in 2015). I refused but she advised I should contact PE for more info. After asking what timeframe I had to resolve the issue before any action would be escalated she replied that nobody would come to the house as it is "unenforceable". Did she slip up by saying this or does she mean that no bailiffs will call but the case may still go to Court?0

For anyone else wandering on here.
1. DO NOT CALL EQUITA OR PARKING EYE
2. DO CALL WHICHEVER RETAILER YOU WERE VISITING WHEN YOU GOT THE TICKET. EVEN BETTER, WRITE TO THEM.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

Can you point me to a thread/post that has an idea as to what to put in an email to Morrisons if not to recall the details or appeal to them? (my PE ticket was issued at the Chester-le-Street Morrisons car park, which tellingly is now a free car park and PE has been booted out!
Many thanks0 -
Advice please. In 2013 just as my car was approaching London Gateway Services on the M1, light smoke started blowing out of the front wheel arch. So rather than pull onto the hard shoulder of the M1, I drove into London Gateway services, making sure not to stop the car too close to anyone else, just in case of an inferno. I managed to put the small fire out - it was a brake shoe which has broken up and seized-on.
I called the AA and waited in the car. They attended and were able to source new brake shoes. The whole thing took around 3 hours. I still have the AA repair breakdown report, clearly showing the date. And clearly showing the job number, which I assume might still be on the AA's database.
I needn't bore you about the resultant parking charge notices from Parking Eye, the letters from Debt Recovery Plus and now the new letter from Equita.
Parking Eye sent me a parking charge notice. And the notice clearly states "....those parking may park for 2 hours 0 minutes for free and then must pay ....etc etc....."
The Oxford English Dictionary of to park is "to stop and leave (a vehicle) temporarily". At no stage did I leave the vehicle. Surely therefore, legally, I wasn't parked. I had however broken down and was incapable of moving further.
I have no intention of writing to Equita, as I imagine the company is probably staffed by illiterate baboons and I would be wasting my time. But should I raise the matter with ParkingEye and ask them to rescind on the basis that my car wasn't parked? Or should I just ignore these letters and wait to use the defence in the County Court, should the need ever arise?0
