Is this the case?

Do you think it would help if I removed the wireless card in my main PC, is this card confusing things?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Leaving the LAN cable out, what happens if you enter http://192.168.1.1 and then put in 'admin' and 'password'

I gotta go offline now.
You can connect wirelessly which is OK but you do need to get into your router config to secure the wireless connection.
Is your second PC connected to the router, either wirelessly or with a cable and if it is does it connect to other websites OK?
Since you are losing the wireless connection to the internet as soon as you plug in the LAN cable between the PC and the router, you may have an IP address conflict on the PC.
You can try running a repair on the PC's LAN connection (or clear the ARP cache) - hopefully one of the other techies can talk you through this.
One other thing that would help diagnose the problem is, with the LAN cable disconnected go to:
Start --> Run and type in cmd and OK
When the black window opens copy and paste in the following:
ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig1.txt
Then plug in the LAN cable, go to Start, Run, cmd again and enter:
ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig2.txt
Once you have done both go to my computer and click on C:, look for the files ipconfig1.txt and ipconfig2.txt. Open them both and copy/paste the content in a new post here.
Good luck

How many cable modems do you have?
IPConfig is showing you have a USB cable modem connected directly to your PC. Is this different to the ethernet cable modem you have been plugging into your router?
p.s. go back and edit the post you just made and delete all the 'Physical address........' lines and also the 'IP Address..........82.23.xxx.xxx' - no need to make those public.

The router is now pluuged in correctly, and I pressed the 'Reset' button.
I can now click on your links to Google and http://192.168.1.1
It does not prompt me for a username/password, but takes me back to the wizard, then if i follow the instructions it is asking me to input all the IP details again...
Feel like I'm going round in circles..I Hate Jobsworths!!!0
