another Sunday
Big (((((hugs)))) for you Becca, wish I could come over and give you a hand. Hope you feel better soon. It does sound like angelface has a urine infection, plenty to drink and a trip to doctors, take a sample
Well after looking at some ovens yesterday and seeing how much these things cost, (some cheap ones) I have decided to go the repair route. I have looked online and a heating element is only about £25 and I would also need a new seal, the timer can stay broken and ofcourse I need to pay the ridiculous cost of someone to fit it. But I don't want to dip into my savings. Our mortage will be paid off in about 3 years and which stage we were planning to get a new kitchen with new appliances then, so getting a repair seems more sense. Wow, this OS thinking is great. And it is a good insentive to give it a good clean, I am mortified already, thinking the repair man will pull the oven out and finding all the crud built up over years
So, today
Clean oven
Ironing school clothes
hoover
tidy
visit the Itialian ice cream shop who promised to make turkish delight icecream for me today... yummy...
DD2 wants to go into town and NO, I am not spending any money on them like I did last weekend..
Cook the tea, fishcakes I think
not that fond of autumn myself although I do love the colourchanging leaves but not streets full of leaves and the rain.. mind you, we've had lots of rain this summer as well.
Have a good Sunday0 -
Bit grey here this morning and we've been invited to a BBQ later so hopefully the weather will stay dry at least.
I'm going to nip down to the shops soon to buy something to take to the BBQ and get some raisins so I can do some baking for muffins and tray bakes for packed lunches this week.
Work to do out in the garden today, front and back, ironing and whatever else comes along.
I'm getting that autumnal back to school looking forward to cosy evenings feeling too!
Fab photos pigpen and lil_me. I'll have to see what I can do and get one of DS on here....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Hi everyone, got a good bit done yesterday, kitchen looks great, all washing done, weeded some of the veg patch.
Realised that i have somebody elses trousaurs(sp) for school so need to phone lady who took them up and in and let her know, she has been away on hoilday this week-end and school starts tomorrow.
Have woke up this morning to the cold, my nose won't stop running and i'm feeling crap, still have abit to do today for the school run tomorrow plus to add to all the madness i know oh is on the verge of becoming unwell ( he suffers from schizophrenia), so need to contact his doctor tomorrow and i think he'll need to be admitted to hospital( i know he will dig his heels in, it's gonna be a long few weeks), i'm just not sure how i'm gonna cope trying to help him, look after kids and now dosed with the cold.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Goodmorning everybody!
Mumoftwo: Good thinking to get the oven repaired!
Hope it works well for you.
I'm just awake 5 minutes now.
Little squirt seems just fine again. Slept solid through the night.. and she's just gone to the loo without any complaints.
I asker her: "Is your pee still burning hot?" and she says:
"NO! it is warm."
:rotfl:
Which I take to be normal temperature, and not burning her in the sence that it hurts. I'll make her drink loads today, and keep a close eye on her. Otherwise we'll have to make a trip to the doctor tomorrow.
I'm having me a cup of coffee just now, and then it's off for some serious house cleaning.
My list:
The loo
hoover the downstairs
mop floor
tidy up
clean kitchen
finish washing
fold and put away washing
iron work clothes for next week
Pfff
Catch ya later0 -
I woke up so tired this morning - cant believe I feel so shattered as have done nothing since being back from hols on friday and I had 10 hours sleep. Total yesterday was sorted washing and managed to get 2 loads done and dry and went shopping with OH to restock. Spent 2/3 of his food budget this month but then he isnt realistic when it comes to what we spend on it. Thats it, so how come so tired.
Moan over.
Loved the photos - they're all cuties especially sonic. Sorry the holiday didnt start too well pigpen, my brother still has the sicky thing with his eldest daughter and she's 13 now. Hugs to all those who need them. Completely understand situation with step kids Becca, but from other direction, my OH and DS 15yrs hate each other and its so hard being in the middle. He's a good kid but one remark he made about me a while back has made OH hate him and I dont think it will ever get better. I just try and ignore all the snide remarks that get made altho every one hurts me. I love both of them very much so seems theres little I can do except live with it.
Plan for today then
Shower (hoping it will wake me up!) & dress
Breakfast
More washing
Start Ironing
Clear breakfast things away
S/S kitchen
S/S Bathroom
DW on
Walk doogie
Hoover downstairs
Wipe stairs down
See if toy kitchen fits in car (as not collected while we were away)
Take above to friend
Roast for tea
Big enough list for today so best get started.
See ya laterMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

My oldest girl still sicks and she is 13.. and I do too.. but the travel sickness stuff usually works for me and DD1 gets a double dose and she is usually ok.. DD2 is 10 and still does it unless double dosed.. but despite both DS3 and DD5 having double doses they still chucked.. next journey I'll find something with as different ingredient see if that makes a difference. DS1 & 2 aare usually fine.. DD3 and 4 can go quite a way before starting up.. but I can't even get DS3 into town without travel sicking him and getting off halfway there when he turns green and it is literally 10 minutes on the bus!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Good for you becca
just think of all those other treats you will be able to afford instead of shelling out € on those cancer sticks. What about opening an account and transferring in the money each time you would have bought a pack, or getting a jar to put it in and watch it mount. Like Pigpen says we are all here for moral support.
I stopped up to drool over Pierce Brosnon last night bt was still up at a reasonable time.
So far this morning I have emptied and restacked the DW, rinsed the plastic and put it in the car to take for recycling when I go out later. Got to do a pack up for A to take with her, she is going bell ringing on a campanile with Nanan & Grandad while I go and sell some pews! Sold one on ebay and the buyer wants 6!!! Means I will not have to mess about listing them individually over the next few weeks.
Pigpen I am surprised that you have anything left with the amount of stuff you list on ebay! Have you ever tried listing on ebid? I signed up to it ages ago but have not got round to trying it out yet.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0
