Hi Mermaid, no worries about the work, got to take it where you can sometimes, hope it goes ok. Usual bunch of looney inmates will be still here if you get chance to pop in. Great photo by the way

Shell, personally I'd always go down the rescue route, but up to you which you would choose. Some places will not rehome with younger children, this is nothing against owners but is usually a major reason dogs are returned. Some rescues of coruse do have puppies. Try www.dogpages.org.uk or http://www.rykat.org/forums/ . What you will find sometimes with puppies and youngsters, the puppy sees the child as another play pal and they can get nippy with them etc. Oh and don't worry about just chatting, it's Saturday
Pigpen, Sonic is settling in well, I think it'll be much easier once the boys are back to school as DS2 will not leave him alone. He did just curl up in a spikey ball when I put even another finger near him before so I think hand feeding is a pretty big step. Have you tried ebay for school clothes? or is this the school branded stuff?
Brought the bags of school things (PE kits and swim kit) down with me after I bathed the boys and put them to bed, going to label that lot tonight, most important for DS1 as it's left at school and they wash it (bonus!)
Doing packed lunches in morning, need to search the freezer for bread rolls now before I forget! One day I might be more organised...........

evening all
i'm at OHs for the weekend so am not getting any fliying done but i thought i'd say hi
am about ready for bed after a long day. we did the next stage of the london loop walk we are doing which meant not only a 12 mile walk but a lot of bus, train and tube travel too. came home, got chicken kebabs and watched an inspector morse on dvd. am a bit achey but hopefully it will pass!
hope you all have good weekends. really need to keep on with the flying and flinging next week
night all xxxMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
evening. as usual up far too late but am assuming I will be allowed another lie in tomorrow!
Have read thread today but too tired to reply individually, lil_me and pigpen - great pics of your kids though
Hubby got out Syriana on DVD tonight. Although it had George Clooney (looking a bit grey for my liking) and Matt Damon - mmmmm
in it, I was bored rigid. How dull dull dull. Waste of an evening so now I feel I have to have a proper evening LOL
Done sod all today, hubby was great did loads. I did clear out the bottom of his wardrobe, yuck it was filthy, but it is organised now and the top shelf where he just chucks stuff has been reclaimed as much needed storage space. Also cleared out a chest of drawers drawer for clean bedlinen as it was silly having it in DD wardrobe in case we need it when she's asleep. Hubby also managed to move some new loftboards up to the loft anf lay them - the wrong way - so they are tongue and tongut not tongue and groove :rotfl: what a twit! Guess what he is doig tomorrow .....
At tea time I felt really ill so had a lie down on the sofa and the kids played doctors on me which I love
Apparently my teeth are full of holes, I needed lots of medicine and have a gammy leg which needs a big bandage. Bless em.
Took delivery of Asda shopping, so can cook some nice meals for a few nights! Tho hubs has offered to doao raost tomorrow yummy. And he defrosted some pizza dough to do for lunch tomorrow. He's been amazing today :T

Morning everyone
mermaid - what a lovely photo, love the black and white thang and your DD looks so cute
pigpen/lilme loving the photos, your kids look so happy
Big Bro is now over for another year and the kids go back to school this week (yay) :j so hoping to get stuck back into flylady and regaining my routines. It's all up in the air school holidays and mostly just wing-it lol. House has stayed okish, done lots of clearing and the odd deep clean but mostly just dailies.
Big changes in the embb household, eldest daughter has flown the nest so I've got a great big master bedroom all to myself now instead of the make-shift thing in the dining room lol so gonna give it a lick of paint next week then move all my belongings up there while they're at school so I can do it in peace, wont take long mind you I only own a set of drawers, a bedside cabinet and a single bed lol
Ooooooh I love September, new starts at school and in the house and looking forward to the dark nights (but not the cold) Halloween/bonfire night and then Christmas - it will be here before we know it and I've already got started
Finishing my first brew now then gonna bring the washing in (I left it out
) the DW is full and cleaning away already
Laters lovelies xx0 -
up and at it all ready this morning! most dailies done:) no washing to do as its sunday and my washing free day! a small amount of baking to be done this morning. pizza dough to be made. i already roasted our chicken yesterday for lunch today so will go and peel spuds in a mo.
children and animals fed, although i havent dressed the kids yet, i am dressed for the day.
a wee bit of ironing to do which i will start when ive peeled the spuds!
thats about the extent of the jobs today as i refuse to 'clean' on weekends:D
embb - i love the autumn term too....my favourite season! i love the darker evenings and of course halloween. autumn is just the cosiest season!!!November NSD's - 70
