Afternoon all I have acheived - one hot spot clear and one wash on the line and that is it. Window cleaners came and chatted for 1 and half hours! Friend phoned and chatted for 30 minutes. Kids have turned the living room into a grand prix circuit so no hope in there.
Tracy hugs to you, once you have been touched by loosing somebody close I feel it changes you for ever, there is an underlying sadness which you feel so deep inside. Like you say though you gain too and somethings become oh so unimportant.
Shell DS3 was a nightmare before starting school, really difficult and I think it was all down to insecurity about starting. It took a good while for him to settle and even now he would rather be at home (he just likes being home but then so do I) but his behaviour improves so much once he settled.
lil-me you never cease to amaze me and have done it again with the hedgehog - very cute.
Right sending the kids into the garden as they are too full of energy and I am going to get the family room finished, after a cup of tea.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I've amounted £95 in my quidco account today.. I decided it is time they gave me something for being good and joining their site lol... hubby thinks I am loopy on a good day so I'll not tell him until it hits the bank account where it will be paid straight off my sonycard.
My nanna has left now so I shall make some kind of effort to clean the front room... if I am back in less than half an hiur.. slap me and kick me back out!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks for the hugs guys. Its so strange, we were brought up as sisters and were close and sometimes I forget shes gone and then it hits me she has and I have to grieve all over again. Last night was lovely but today 'that knot' is back in my stomach and I feel really sad for her little girl. She was only 38 and took poorly on a Saturday night, the Monday we were told there was nothing they could and they gave us time to get everyone to her and arrange the organ donar people and on the Teusday we let her go. I went in the see her with her DH and they told us as gently as possible and will never forget the way the nurse looked at me. Just makes me realise we never, ever know whats around the corner for us and to try and live life as much and with a little regret as possible. On a positive note, 6 people received organs from her and all 6 have made fanastic progress and their futures now look bright thanks to her passing away. Sorry for unloading guys but sometimes it helps to get things out doesn't it?
Well surprise, surprise - the solicitors have b*lls up and now completing on Friday looks very doubtful. I'm at the last minute stage of packing now so can't do anymore without knowing if its defiantely going to be this Friday. DH is currently on a train somewhere screaming/pleading with them for it to be done. So DS is out with IL's so what else was there to do but go shopping!!! Got some new bits and pieces for the new house and also some lovely reduced bits from Matalan for christmas presents.
Have got two loads of ironing to do so will do that and have a cuppa I think. Hopefully, I'll be packing later but you never know. Not going to stress about it, if it happens Friday - great, if not a few days won't kill us (see, already a clamer me is coming through - at one time I'd have jumped up and down screaming!) xxLightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Thanks for the advice jjef. It's wierd - jobs seem to be coming along like buses at the moment. I had a phonecall from the temp agency to ask if I could do an admin job until Christmas, but I declined it in case I end up doing supply teaching at the end of October (I'm applying for a job doing this, but don't know whether I'll get it, so I'm kinda up in the air at the mo), and explained about working at the pub and she called me back a bit later to say that she found someone who could do the whole time (up to xmas) but that they couldn't start til Sept 10th, so could I do a couple of hours tomorrow (around my pub shift) and then do Friday and all of next week at £6.50/hr. I said yes, and so when I went into the pub for my shift at lunch, I told the landlord that I'd only be able to work weekends from now on cos I'd been offered a full time job. He was fine about it, and it meant that I didn't have to tell the nasty landlady, and will also mean that I'll still probably be able to work with the nice girls at the weekend when they go back to uni etc. I'll tell Zizzi that I have to give the pub a week's notice about working during the week (so next week won't be a prob), and that after that I'll be able to work during the week, so I can then carry on with the pub and Zizzi at the same time. Complicated I know! Still, at least I'll be earning lots of money to make up for the amount I spent on the cat when he had his operation. Hope it doesn't cause problems with tax though (I did fill out my P46 to say that I have more than one job though, so hope it's not a problem).
Well, can't add the rest of the sheets to the bed, as the cat has plonked himself firmly in the middle of the fitted sheet, resting up against the uncovered duvet (will have to hoover this before I put the cover on), and can't hoover cos he is scared of the noise it makes. Will just have to go and get the washed sheets off the line as it's clouded over now, and I expect they are dry, then I'm going to have lunch/dinner as shift begins at 6pm so will leave at 5.30pm.

Tracyg .. that must have been incredibly difficult to deal with.. to go from a vibrant full of life person to 'gone' in a few days.. you can't imagine it if you've never experienced it. Those 6 people will have their own problems.. they know someone had to go so they could stay.. it was an amazing sacrifice for you all... you unload as often as you like!!!!!! And as for solicitors.. don't even go there.. we ended up picking up the papers from our solicitor when we were moving here.. and walking ACROSS THE ROAD to the sellers solicitors because they had taken 3 WEEKS saying they were posting them.. the 2 solicitors dealing with the case knew each other and waved to each other from their office windows.. it was ludicrous!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

I just can't get going in that front room and DD5 is being a pest so I daren't go do my room and leave her down here.. so I'm trying to some ebay listing.. I would like another 35 things listed.. I have 65 on so it would round it up nicely.
Kitchen need a S&S I noticed after the children fed themselves lunch.
DW on again, WM in again with DS1's £120 school blazer in it.. you know the one that says in huge letters 'DRY CLEAN ONLY' .. it is practically wrecked but I refuse to buy another and it can't come out that bad.. it doesn't have any stiffeners in the lapels which will suffer so it should be ok.. it's on a wool wash as it is mainly wool.. anyway.. in half an hour we shall see!!!
I ned to reload the BM..
Chook is almost cooked in the SC.. though I need to go purchase some new potatoes.. unless I do mash.. no.. I still need spuds.. wonder if DS1 is home.. I thought I heard him come in... I will have to trail all the children to the corner shop if not.. *sigh* .. that'll mean finding shoes, brushing hair and dressing tiddles...
Right.. I'm going to have another cuppa and do the pics for this holdall of ebay stuff. I'm also going to drag the huge box of ebay stuff out of th emiddle room into the back room and sort some of it to charity shop and see if I can find this missing dress I needed to post last week!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Girls are back from school, so I won't get much more flying done until after tea. I have finally finished Mondays list and have made a start on todays, the bed has been stripped, hoovered and remade and the smoke alarm tested, I have lifted the pile of clothes from the floor onto the bed and I WILL sort it out before I climb into bed tonight.
Tracyg that must have been awful for you and no I don't think you ever get over loosing someone, I lost my mum last year and still find myself with the phone in hand starting to phone her to tell her something but life does move on and I feel that we can only get on with our own lives to make them proud of what we are achieving.
Pigpen my quidco account has just paid for a weekend at centre parcs later in the year, I have purchased, home, 2x car, & pet insurance through it and also do a couple of daily clicks, I am going to spend an evening reading the quidco thread properly to see what else I could be doing.
Right off to start tea.0 -
liuhut.. can you not nick a local cat and poke it up there for a bit?? lol.. The poison you buy at the local hardware shop is pretty much the same as what 'professionals' use and a whole lot cheaper!!! (my uncle is in pest control) BUT if another animal/child/bird/cat eats it is does have the same effect.. also if something eats the creature affected.. eg cat eats half dead poisoned mouse the cat is still poisoned... just so you know!
Blazer is out of the WM and doesn't look any worse for its ordeal.. though it does still need 2 buttons sewing back on, at least I don't have to fork out another £120 though.. or dry cleaning bills *scoff*
I have a chocolate bread cooking merrily.. we can have it with custard after tea... or just spread with jam.. yum! .. God I am a PIG!!! lol
£20.65 of my quidco deals are tracked already only one for £60 and one for £18 to track now.... I hope they all come to fruition I really need some extra cash.. and my £30.10 on topcashback..

afternoon all
traceyg - big hugs. can;t imagine how hard it has been for you.
i've had a rather frustrating day all in all. did my menus for work this morning, realised i had no paper so went to church to print them and collect paper. unfortunately i didn't know the church has an older version of publisher than i have so it couldn't open it. so i got some paper, put in the car boot, left my car for an MOT at 12, i thought would be back by 1pm, and i've still not got it back!!! walked back after coffee with a friend and then realised i had left my house key on the car keys at the garage!!! thankfully friend and neighbour has a key so had a catch up with her and then borrowed her spare keys. car still not back, i phoned and he said its just being done - hope it passes! i'm meant to be in town in 30 mins so if he hasn't rung in 15 i'll have to catch the bus and get the car tomorrow! fun fun fun.
feel a bit in limbo but happily i've sold 2 books on amazon. going to sort ruthlessly through all my books tonight. its lovely having books around, but pointless to keep ones i'll never read again.
so, flying can be done on my return. am skint, hopefully friend will buy my coffee
pigpen - i've just joined quidco. don;t understand how you track so much?! i've got £12 on greasypalm but has taken forever. i'd better go and read the threads!
