Morning everyone,
Sorry to hear about your friend HopeElizzy, and about her family, it's good that they have a good friend like you to help them through it all.
Jill I'm getting really excited for you now with the baby being so close. Can't wait to see lil_me's announcement that there is another little one in the world!
Congratulations on the PhD 7WW and good luck with all the saving for it.
Well done lil_me for holding such a successful BBQ, and well done to Rach for saving so much for her wedding.
Managed to get my full list done yesterday including the level 3 and extra missions, so was really chuffed, as I didn't expect to have time. Don't know if it will be a reapeat performance this morning though, as I have a long day ahead of me (pub shift lunchtime, then trial shift at Zizzi nighttime) so may try and take it a little easier this morning.
Must go and wash my hair so that I'm nice and clean for the new sheets tonight, and because I didn't do it yesterday for that reason, so could do with a good clean.
On the work front, I have a dillemna - I wasn't enjoying the pub at all cos I don't get on that well with the landlady, but yesterday she wasn't in, and I was working with one of the other girls, and had a really nice time. The tips are rubbish though, and I know that I could earn a lot more at Zizzi. Plus the other girls are due to go back to uni and teaching next week, so I would imagine that I will be asked to work during the week, and they will do the weekends so I won't see them. So, when Zizzi ask me when I can work, do I say during the week, and say to the pub I can only work weekends or what? I know I will earn more money at Zizzi, but the pub is ok when the landlady isn't there. Any suggestions welcome.

Morning all
Really pleased the BBQ went well for you lil_me always nice to be appreciated and good news that club numbers are rising, well done to you and DP.
Elizzy so sorry to hear about your friend, it's never easy and sometimes I wonder if it's harder when you know its likely to happen, hugs to you, yours and your friends family.
Jill 15 things to do in 3 weeks so therefore NO MORE THAN 1 THING A DAY ok lady! I think you should piroitise on getting the baby bottles back from your friend first so that is today's task
Well no flying yesterday for us as we went to Clumber Park with A n W's adoptive Grandparents and had a great day out. To be honest I decided to write this week off flying wise as it's the last few days of the school hols (where has it gone!) and we are just having fun together. It's back to school hair cuts this afternoon for us. Think we will go and get school shoes checked this morning and make sure we have pumps for PE. There is a Clarks shoe at the local shopping centre which is usually way quieter than Meadowhell. Might do some baking with the kids before hair cuts.
Hope everyone has a good day, laters.....Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
morning all
lil_me - hope you're not too achey this morning.
7ww - i write things to do in the future in my diary and OH uses the outlook diary at work which helps as things pop up. i'm currently constructing a list of places to clear and jobs to do before i move in Jan. i know its ages but it will go quickly!
eliza_D - (((hugs))). i know its frustrating, my OH has very different standards of 'clean and tidy' than i do.
my wedding - for any who are interested, yes its quite a wintery theme. we are getting married in the church where i work which is lovely and one of my best friends is marrying us. she is my age (29) and an ordained minister so its great being married by your best mate! OH's dad is a minister and will do the talk. i have 4 adult bridesmaids (my sis, his sis and my 2 closest friends)who are wearing chocolate brown dresses from monsoon and gorgeous bargain brown and gold wraps from Birmingham rag market! i think i'm going for all white flowers in the church with goldy twigs. i was going to do flowers on the tables at the reception (which is in a lovely funky art deco style room) but I'm now thinking of home made candle holders. its quite a moneysaving wedding except for the number of people, so the meal itself is the major cost. i think we can bring the whole thing in around £6k max though which isn't bad considering thats 120 people to the main do and 200 to the evening. phew. sorry, if anyone asks me about the wedding i go on for hours!!!
have a good day all. i'm doing my work bits now, as they are now urgent! will post my list later. car in for MOT at 12 - fingers crossed!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
lil_me Well done on the barbecue, I am glad you were thanked, hope you don't suffer too much today for all that hard work.
Elizzy- sorry to hear about your friend, hugs to you.
Jill - Wow! your completed list is impressive! Take things easy now, although I know I wasn't able to follow that advice when I was heavily pregnant
I always buy myself new folders and pens for the new school year, good excuse to indulge my stationery fetish. (OOPs will that get through the filter?).
Step son is here camping out with DD, they were in and out of the house until 10pm last night, just soo excited. House is looking like a tornado has gone through it, so frustrating. I am going to get downstairs sorted today, with as much enjoying the kids as possible, then work tomorrow, then upstairs on Friday.
If anyone sees me on here before 8pm, kick me off!
Happy flying

Morning all. Been up since 6am as DH had to catch his train to London but still sat here in trackie bottoms and a hoodie (dressing gown in wash!). Been playing with DS most of morning as he's off to IL's later so I can pack up and

Went to see my little 8yo cousin in a dance show last night, it was very good but a bit long. First show since shes lost her mummy and she loved the show and it was a bit much for me really, the show was dedicated her so that was nice. Hugs to TRACYG - well done on holding it together, I would probably have started bawling before I walked in the place which would have been no good for anyone! Sending you hugs x
RACH - wedding plans sound great, very sophisticated. My wedding was very low key but I loved all the arranging and trying to come up with cheap ideas. Still got the note book I used with all the prices, quotes and stuff in - bit out of date now I think some 13 years later but nice to look back at.
Driving lesson went well and next one we are off to Peterborough:eek: ! Have to book my next lot too.
Up usual time today (too early 6am!! - those pesky kids)
So far I have:-
S & S Kitchen
Hoovered through
Beds aired and made
Mopped kitchen, hall and bathroom floors
Tidied girls room
BM on
Chicken defrosting for chicken nuggets
DD went phsyco on me again yesterday as in hitting, punching, head butting and kicking. Running round slamming doors really really forcefully. She was in this uncontrollable rage for well over and hour and a half. I was a complete mess and didnt have a clue what to do. I tried the time out, holding her in time out, leaving her in her room to calm down, cuddling her, talking to her (I didnt get angry I somehow managed to stay calm - thats when she ran from room to room slamming doors. Apparently she hated me, did not love me and did not want me to live here anymore. The reason for this was DD2 knocked down her row of happyland figures and she started shouting so I said, "maybe you need to go calm down". DD2 snitched her up and said she ran away from Nanny at the weekend so DH phoned his mum and apparently she had 3 or 4 incidents of the same behaviour (minus the violent attacks - guess they are just for me). Not sure what to do about it - do you go to health visitor or doctor about this sort of stuff??
I have had a quiet chat with her about it today and she said she is worried about starting school and not seeing me very much. I've explained that I am trying to find another job so that while she is at school I will be at work and then I will not have to work weekends anymore. Sorry for off loading, other than DH I have got no-one else to talk to about this and between you lot I guess you have dealt with just about every childhood problem there is so any advice gratefully recieved.
Right I need to do some ironing so plan is:-
Water play in garden for girls (Bag over DD1 cast)
While they play I iron in garden with them
Also need to:-
Make chicken nuggets
S & S Bathroom
Thats all I can think off, there is more but need coffee - didnt get a good nights sleep!0
