Evening all - actually morning but hey ho.
Really have not got very far today. Everytime I have started something the phone has rang or there has been a knock at the door or it has been a meal time. Too tired to update list now - will do in the morning. I have a sore throat tonight so hope it will be gone by morning. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Honey's I'm home :rotfl:
Dusty hope you feel better tomorrow.
Elizzy big hugs honey, I know you were sort of expecting it but still can't be easy, thinking of you and her family I remember you saying there were little ones aswell, we're here if you need us x
Kaz, I can go off people really easy you know?!!! Only jealous, hope you're all having a fab time
Phew, pleased thats over but went VERY well, another 7/8 unexpected turned up, did run out of time to cook some of the chicken so have cooked it off for the freezer. They made me stand up in front of everyone so they could say thank you and got applause, I blushed like heck but made even the fact I was soaked through (gazebo leaked) worth it, all of them said thank you etc. 5 hours preparing and 3 hours cooking however I'm hurting all overfeet and back especially.
Oh it did cost me an extra £4, DS2 didn't get to the loo on time when we got there, yuk! so had to dash to the nearest asda for pants and trousers. I did really like that Asda however, it's huge compared to our more local one, will have to go back there
Right, I best get washed (I smell like a BBQ so need a good wash down!) and get to bed, will see you all in the morningOne day I might be more organised...........

Thanks Rach, I'm still here, smelling 'a la burnt sausage' just haven't got the energy to move yet
We did have problems like we were supposed to have 2 BBQs to use but ended up with only one, never again will I try to cook for 30 odd on one grill!! My worry is if I feel hurty now will be worse in morning so might take pain relief up with me, when it's bad I can't get out of bed without it. Like I said however all been worth it, so many people turning up to a club which to be honest I thought was going to have to close having 2-3 people attend each week before DP took over, it's been going for many years and would have been such a shame, just hope they keep coming back! Someone asked if we'd have a BBQ again last week, I was polite and didn't swear at them even if I wanted to!
Just notice Rach you're getting married on my sis and cousins birthday, day before my DS2s (he should have been born 26th really but I refused to go to hospital. Are you having a winter wedding theme or traditional white ?
Oh I rescued some unused buns too, gone hard and had been 'fondled' by many people but will take them for the ducks and swans tomorrow I think if the weather is nice, actually will take them even if it rains, ducks are even more appreciative as less people go, treat for the boys as they did behave well considering me and Dad were very busy organising stuff. One day I might be more organised...........

Good morning everyone,
Thanks for all the good wishes about my funding. It's a lovely feeling that I will have some money coming in for the next few years. What a lot of late night owls you all are. I was tucked up in bed by 10.15 - whilst the rest of you were chatting the night away!
HopeElizzy - I'm really sorry to hear about your friend, I hope you are all coping somehow.
Ginger Girl - I know what you mean about the academic year. I still refered to September as "the New Term" even when I'd been out of college for about 12 years! At the moment I'm trying to resist buying lots of new pens/files etc ready for going back to University next week!
Pigpen - send DD5 up here to Scotland with her porridge eating habits! You'll be telling us she likes deep fried mars bars next (and yes - they do exist, there was a take-away near my old flat that did deep fried mars bars *and* deep fried wagon wheels!)
JillD - take it easy! I know you want the baby out into the world, but it sounds like you did way too mauch yesterday.
Lil_me - well done with the BBQ, and good on the folks who gave you a round of applause. Far too many people seem to take the organisers of things forgranted (spelling?)
Well my bedding is already in the washing maching. I like Wednesdays - it is such an easy task to check the smoke alarm and cross something off my list straight away.
I've dug out my running kit for this evening - it's a good job I'm meeting my pal there otherwise I'd be coming up with all sorts of excuses for not going!
Question for you (it was all this talk of notebooks last night got me thinking!) How do you guys organise your to-do lists? At the moment I have a piece of paper with various headings ("House", "Social" and "PhD" on the current piece) with long lists after each one. When the piece of paper gets illegible I transfer everything to a new sheet. I'm still trying to work out how to add longer term stuff (like remembering to book accomodation for a friends' wedding next summer etc). How do you all organise yourselves?
Right - to work, catch you all later

Morning all :hello:
No idea what I'm doing today yet, except dailies. Don't know whether to tackle dusting the bedrooms (hoovered them last night) and livingroom, and a load of washing then the ironing or to take DD out for the dayMight go and get a bus pass and take her on a tour of Liverpool as the weather isn't that good
Oh well, we'll see
Laters :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
