AnW's Mum - so do you tow the caravan there etc and hook it up yourself ? if so then wow thats pretty amazing on your own, well done
Jill we borrowed my mum and dad's caravan to start with and decided from the word go that we would both know how to tow so that if ever one of us could not drive for any reason (illness/injury) then we would not be stuck. DH was never that bothered about towing so I tended to do most of it, had quite a few double takes from male drivers :rotfl:I used to love it when we pulled up on site and I managed to get it spot on on the pitch at first shot. DH would be out directing me so and we would both have a wry smile when we got it right as there were quite often those sat there with their cup of coffee and the 'watch the woman b*lls it up' look on their faces :rotfl:Since DH died I have not taken the caravan out partly because mum and dad have been on hols with us plus it was too emotional to do so. But now I do feel ready to take the world and fellow shed draggers on againFor fine manoeuvring though it will be harder without an adult spotter, and so I am going to look into getting one of those mover thingies where you use a remote control to move the caravan on site.

hello again all.
had lots to say to lots of you but can't remember it except -
jillD - my wedding is 26th jan, i just haven't updated the sig strip for ages! i wonder if i can get a countdown thing on there - does anyone know?!
went to M&S and bought the wine glasses with voucher, then popped round to friends as i was going insane having only spoken in person to the man at the post office today. OH will ring before bed but he does a church group thing on tuesdays and never has much energy left to speak to me (he's an introvert!) so will just be a quick nightnight.
i put a few things on amazon marketplace and a few are on turbolister for ebay but need to photograph them. i will do that now and then will do the living room list. my study still looks a bit messy with stuff to fling but at least the in tray is clear!
laters lovely ladiesMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Such things should be fitted as standard on every 4th page!!!!! 'scrapbooking' I'd call that!!
Tell you what.. that would make a fantastic christmas gift for a friend... buy a cheap notepad and 'add to' lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
phew now I have replied to the day's posts I can update my list etc.
Had a fair day, did a few bits - went to GP for DS scalp thing - she says iots not psoriasis, just dry skin/cradle cap build upand has prescribed some tar shampoo thing. So will give thata go for a few weeks. Once baby comes all h3ll will break loose but will definitely see GO for 6 week check so will probably just ask about it again then if it hasnt cleared up. That is plenty of time to give it and to see if new hair grows back. Of course pharmacy didnt stock it so they have ordered it in and I have to go back tomorrow to collect it.
Also went to PO to exchange a $20 note I found lying around hubbys study, got £9.18 back for it! NAd got a quid off with some random coupon at Asda. And bought some more George promotion Flora so have ebohg to send off for £10 of vouchers :j
Then went over to friends house for the day. Was there from 11 til 4, kids played so well, it was great to not be shouting every 5 minutes.
Came home and got tea sorted and decided just to get on with hemming DD's curtains, they are now straight, there was enough material left after I messed up ripping the excess off and they are now lined too, and hanging so much better. Thats the kids rooms DONE :j
Also made loaf in BM, friend was using hers today, I havent used mine since the morning sickness which is ages ago now , so I felt inspired. Only thing is later I smelt vague burning and even after cycle finsihed element kept coming on so I am a bit worried its ob the blink ... bread is fine though
Got the ironing done tonight too. When my waters broke with DD I woke up in bed at 5am in a puddle LOL. Too excited to sleep so I got up and did the ironing as I though I wouldnt get the chance for a while. All week I;ve been thinking "hmm, must get that irnoning done dont want to be doing it at 5am again this time" !! So got it done.
