    Morning all

Feeling much better today (probably thanks for paracetamol I took at 7:00)

Taking kids to Mum's for the day at 10:00 so hope to do a bit of shopping, a bit of flying and a bit of paperwork. So pleased to be feeling better and not wasting the day.

Using my mooncup for the first time(sorry if that is too much info for some of you).

    List to start:

    Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1

    Check fire alarms are working
Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
    Level 2
Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh
    Clean window & wipe windowsill
    Level 3
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
    Wipe doors and handles
    Extra mission tasks
    • Wipe at least one door and it's frame, don't forget the handle
    • Dust skirting boards in any one room
    • Sort one clothes drawer or wardrobe area, even if for 5 minute, remove anything that shouldn't be there
    • Clean your vacuum cleaner out, get that hair off that brush, it'll improve it's performance aswell as being cleaner!
    Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One

Clean floors in these rooms (even if it is around the clutter)
    Level Two
    Clean bath, toilet and sink
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)
    Level Three
    Clear clutter from floor
    Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
    Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt
    • Wash your bathroom mats
    • Sort a wardrobe or part of, a drawer or set of drawers making sure it has what needs to be in it and any 'extras' are put where they should be.
    • 15 minutes paperwork sorting!
    • Clean windows in these rooms
Will edit it and add bits when I get back x
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • Good morning,

Firstly apologies for clogging the forum with two identical posts last night. The internet hung half way through the first attempt so I assumed it had not been posted and re-submitted it. I must learn to be more patient!

I've been thinking about "to-do" lists. I think I will stick to a pen and paper list - if nothing else it means I can up date it on my way to work each day (just under an hour on the bus). I might allow myself the treat of buying a new spiral bound note-book though as the pieces of paper get a bit mangled!

I'm off into town in a couple of hours to get my hair highlighted. The grey needs covering up and I've managed not to spend all my "personal allowance" for this month that I've allocated myself, so I can get it done.

I'm just trying to chose between the Nigel Slater and Antony Worrel Thompson recipe for toad-in-the-hole. Can you believe it - I've never made it before!

    Catch you all later,
    7WW

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well. I'm so dissappointed with myself this week as i'v done very little flying. It's been a busy week in other areas
    1) Had to take daughter to a&e as she fell and knocked a tooth out and i was so sure it was an adult tooth, thankfully it was a baby.
    2) Husband has been unwell with a bug and couldn't keep down his meds and that left him taking small fits ( he has epeilisy).
    3) Our turtel died.
    4) Computer decided not to work for 3 days, so i didn't have the motavation to get on with flying.
    5) Have an appointment this morning for my 2 oldest as they are both underweight and i know they haven't put on much (eventho they never stop eating).

Hoping to get into a good swing when i get home and get flying, i really have every room to do. I'll update later what i have done and that will be motavation to get more done. Have a great day everyone.:A
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Morning

Well so far this week I've done the hall and the dining room from top to bottom. The living room is clean - not tidy - but with 2 kids what do you expect!

DH didn't bring the washing in last night which I left out when I went to work so my seat covers off my dining room chairs are now sopping wet. They weren't that wet when I got them out of the WM!

I'm looking after my mate's twins for a bit this morning at her house so shan't get a lot done and then I'm going to my parent's house for tea.

Shell my DD is 5 and she can be really naughty. She's as good as gold at school :A but the minute I pick her up she gets really stroppy. I did a Triple P course not long ago but although it helped DH wouldn't back it up so it didn't really work as well as it could have done. She's worse if she's tired, hungry, bored, etc. At the moment she's also not looking forward to going back to school, although she loves school, because she got really attached to the TA in her Reception class and doesn't want to go into Yr 1. Her new teacher is a bloke who's about 6ft 4 so towers over the little ones he is nice though. DD winds DS up all the time (and DH) so sometimes it's like WW3 in our house. One thing I was told is reward charts should only show good behaviour and try to word rules positively such as instead of "don't scream at your sister/brother, etc" say " in this house everyone talks nicely to each other". It's really hard to do and you're supposed to try and ignore bad behaviour and give lots of praise for good behaviour. Anyway that's enough waffle PM me if you want to chat I think your LOs are a similar age to mine.

Hi Denise - I wondered where you were - I just assumed you were on holidays or something. What's the new company? - Is that where you've been hiding?

Hugs to everyone else who needs them - I've now completely forgotten what I was going to post but hey!

    Catch you all later

Morning all, many many thanks again for all the info on my problem with DD1 (she is 4 1/2). Have decided to wait and see how things pan out when she starts school. She is usually such a good little girl and Nursery gave her a glowing report. I fear it may be more to do with the issue of missing mummy, as she knows she will be at school longer and I guess my working weekends makes it hard (not just for her but everyone). I have explained that I am looking for a job so I will be there while she is at school and she liked that idea. Could do with Supernanny paying a visit (but would not want to go on the telly:eek: )

    Back to the flying front:-

    BM on
Slow cooker got mince in for tea (cottage pie - yum!)
Made 2 batches of muffins (blueberrys & the Apple ones)
    S & S Kitchen
    S & S Lounge
    Beds aired and made

    Need to:

    Hoover through
IRONING!!!!!!!!!! this is getting desperate now
    Weed front borders
    S & S Bathroom
Go back through thread and read all tips/ideas given and write them down - thanks guys!
  • Morning everyone.

Didn't get anything done of my list yesterday.
DH was off and I used the opportunity to go to the doctors in the morning about a couple health issues that are bothering me. Then we all went out for a picnic at the sports centre and then DS did the second part of his cricket skills session. By the time we got back I was too lazy to do anything!

Today I've had my hair cut and put one load in the WM.
I'm going to get the clippers on DS's hair in a bit.
After lunch we are going to see my mum for an hour and then off to visit friends.
Guess I'll need to do a quick half hour before we go and then some later on this evening.

tracy- everyone has already said so many supportive things, just want to add a hug from me too!
lil_me- hope you are over the tiredness and aches from the BBQ, must have nice to have been thanked by all. Must see pics of Sonic.
Shell- hope you have a better day with DD today. When we were on our adoption course we had to discuss a situation of our choosing with a small group. It had to be something we found emotional/hard to deal with. So lots of tears etc. When we all got together again the people running the course asked us if we had found it heard to convey our emotions into words to full make others understand and if we had found it hard as adults then just imagine how hard it is for a child to do. I try and think of this when DS is 'on one.'
Denise- Hi there, wondered what you were up to. Hope all ok.
Dusty- hugs and hope you feel better soon. Never used a mooncup but read loads of good things about them.
Vanilla- sounds like you've been having a real bad week, hugs and hope you take of yourself
    Solway- how's the decorating going?

Hi to everyone else too and hope you all have a good Thursday whatever you manage to get done or not!
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

    Hi,

Just bobbing in on way to nervous breakdown!

Actually, not too bad, but DH has been told that some of the people at his place of work are going to be paid, and some not. No-one knows till tomorrow. Nice!

He will be home from next week one way or the other. Thought this was a good place to start - does anyone have a plan to spring clean a house? He can have DS and I can have loads of encouragement to get moving. It will be ideal to stop him brooding. By the time we have cleaned, cleared, sorted and rearranged our home and dumped, charity shop or ebayed all our clutter, he will feel much better.

I haven't read the thread so far, but hugs and hi's to all.

Oh, just in case you thought that was all, it looks like all the plaster needs to be stripped from our kitchen and the whole thing re-done from the bones out - when we have the money!

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. With DH at home, I may have time to keep up with this thread :)

And the Diet Coke will have to go because I can't afford it - great incentive!
    Always another chapter

  • Morning everyone.

Have managed to do an asda shop as we needed lots of little bits, but also got Charlie some clothes as lots of lovely T-shirts were only £2 or £3. DS fell asleep in the car on the way home, so he has had a lovely nap - still there now, while i unpacked and put away the shopping, pegged a load out that had been washed first thing this morning, and now got the WM on again.

I have also had a quick chat to Dh as he rang up wanting his car insurance policy details, so i firstly thought the worst, then he told me he was having a stone chip replaced.

Need to grab Charlie in a minute and feed him, then peg this load of clothes out, and then it will be time to take him to nursery, do some work at school until i am kicked out, and then go and see my mum and look through the clothes in her shop as i have written down what charlie has, and she is going to give me some of the stuff he needs for birthday and xmas. Looking at the audit i just made of his clothes, i need to stop buying him T-shirts and buy him some trousers poor love or he will get a bit cold. :rotfl:

Unfortunately my other clothes route (2nd hand from my sister - is drying up as my nephew who's nearly 2 has not really grown much for ages and Charlie is nearly in the same size clothes as him, so we will probably end up giving them some stuff.

Anyway, laptop away now to go to work, and i will see you all later.

    Morning all

Two loads of washing out, including DD's bedding. It's drying slowly, not much sun today.

Not much else done in the house apart from normal washing up and tidying. Did wipe down the worktops. Went over the shops to pay the paper bill and took the dog into the vets. She has lots of fatty cysts including one the size of a tennis ball on her back. It's started to get a bit bigger and change (she only had it checked a month ago) so now she's booked in to have it removed because it looks like it could get infected if it bursts by itself. So now I have to fret about that. She's not having it done until the 11th, we're on holiday from work then so we'll be able to stay with her all the time. She normally only gets left alone for about 30 minutes a day anyway.

    Sorry for rabbiting on.

Good wishes to anybody who needs or wants them.
