I have paid of some of my credit cards so my figure is slightly less then declared, but thats okay SF, I will reduce my figure next month so that the figures match up.

I have now only credit cards that are on promotional rates, which will finish after my regular savers (its on it the planning)

FD is still offering 6% so I nabbed that, by opening a new one as soon as the old one disappeared from my online banking and the SO set up.

I will make the 12k target I set by November

    Happy Westie :-)

Thanks again for your hard work and commitment SF, ill have a look at the link you prev posted about Christmas food donation <3 x

  • #02 declaring 1232.44 for this month bringing me to my total for this year of 12k! Not intending to be able to save much more as I've already increased my saving target once this year but will have several interest accounts maturing over the next few months so the interest from that will probably be my only additional savings.

I've also officially pushed through the 20k barrier with my total overall savings which is exciting.

Congratulations on hitting your target! This thread is unbelievably inspirational... I would never have got anywhere near where I have were it not for the constant encouragement I have received from the inspirational stories on here. Half of me wants not to get my kitchen done so I hit mine too ;)

  • Hi all,

Thanks for all the updates, they do keep pushing me on towards my own goal.

Just sent in my updates for the last few months. Overall over the last few months only been able to save £100 ish each month.
Not happy with those amounts considering I've been working almost solidly this year, been getting much more self employed work than last year. At least its a positive savings number right?!

Just don't know where the extra money i've earned is going.
Been paying my CC down slowly but surely and treating myself to the odd extra. I think it calls for a big check of all my bank statements to see where the money is being spent.

I'm hoping to spend a bit of time decluttering and selling off stuff I don't need. Got lots of old phones that I need to get rid of and every little will help.

Going to make a big effort to be much more frugal for the rest of the year.

    Keep going all :)
