Standing orders go out tomorrow but as I'm not sure if I will have internet to update as I'm visiting family, so I have declaring now, based on the SO going out and adding to the regular saver balances.

Now I have am maturing FD regular saver, so I had two options, I could take the total of the FD regular saver of my total and drop me quite far under my total, or to remove a little of it, each month, so I stay in the high 11k/12k, and should average out before November, as I will have more SO going out next month.

Not sure I'm making sense but I know what I mean lol....

    Total for September £606...

Which brings my total saved year to date = £12350.00...

Happy Westie (now my total is over my target set)

    :o)

  • Quite sad this morning :( I have been saving £500 per month into my Vanguard Lifestrategy Fund Stocks and Shares ISA and had to cancel my monthly investment subscription this morning. We are just six weeks off my husbands retirement date and he needs to buy a replacement car as his company car goes back to the leasing company in a months time. Also his income will obviously drop and we do not know how much his lump sum will be until the disinvestment date in October. Unfortunately this means that my regular investment subscription needs to wait until we know what our new income will be as it will just be OHs pension and my part time salary. Scary but exciting times but when we know where we are financially then we will decide when I will retire. I have some regular savers coming out in three months time and OHs lump sum so he has said I can use some of that to top up my stocks and shares ISA with a lump sum instead of monthly payments.

You've saved that money, so unless you actually spend some of it, it's still part of your savings, whichever account it happens to be in at the time.
(You can't count it twice though, if you start feeding it into another regular saver.)

I have launched a new project on my blog today, which I'm asking if you can have a little read of.

If this challenge has helped you in any way, please can you consider donating just £1 or £2 to the cause? I would love to reach my target set on there, though I'm a bit nervous about it to be honest!

Please click here to have a read :)

    Thank you :A

Think I will put the money into my ISA, and like you said its money I have saved, I will then take a chunk out of it, as I need to pay off some credit cards.

The other SO will continue as they have done, and hopefully build the figure back up again.

Tick Tock, for the maturity, Im hoping 6% is still on offer,
