Bit of a major set back last night as DH was involved in quite a major accident last night (closed the major trunk road ) - he is OK but the car is a write off, along with the chap's who he ran into the back of (three separate accidents in less than a mile). Mercifully they were unhurt too. I will look at revising my newly challenging target downwards again, as we will need another car to replace ours and the insurance won't cover all of it (and there is a large excess to swallow, and the premium will go up...) ho-hum. C'est la vie!

The most important thing is that nobody is hurt.

£1,372.46 declared for September (50% of my net income!) but still well behind and £12,000 is almost certainly beyond me now. There are a lot of good reasons for this and I'm not going to beat myself up over it but it seems sensible to revise this target to £8,000 when I next submit figures in the hope I can go over £35,000 in total savings by the end of the year.

Still a great achievement, just not quite where I wanted to be!
  • # 184 declaring £996 for September

Not too bad considering we went on holiday for the first 2 weeks and hadn't booked or paid for anything except the flights (and travel to and from the airport UK side). Net pay is going down £1292 pcm as of Friday and the car is due everything in November (MOT tax and insurance) so not going to be expecting any more big months before the end of the year. Still think I'll get to my overall target and am on track to hit 10K by the end of the year and after that it's only a few short months till I get to the big 0 net worth (good old student loan).

    Good evening. No 73.
Have paid a rather large credit card bill ( last payment for a dream holiday for hubby and I). Also had dentist and yearly gym membership this month. So savings have taken a bit of a bash.
Next month, Any spare money will be saved for holiday money and all buying xmas presents. (I also have car service booked in).
November, I am only receiving half of my pay ( buying an extra two weeks holiday) so all money will be Accounted for, (bills) none left to save.
    December - who knows???
So, after payday in December I will do a final tot up and post any -/+ and a year end total.
