My TSB regular saver matures next month, and as the rate is due to drop for new applications I'm not sure what to do with the funds, so may put it back in...

Hi all, sorry, long time no see!
Not a huge amount to report from me except that my May figure is £558.16 and June is looking to be similar. This is a bit more than half what I should be saving per month, but all the money has gone towards a holiday of sorts - a festival! I didn't plan for it, as I didn't expect I'd be able to drag anyone along, and since I've wanted to go to this one for a decade I didn't mind the expense. Better than this time last year when I would have gone into debt to pay for it! Admittedly I did use my Amex for some of it, but only to get cashback rather than lose interest on savings.
Chunky Amex payment coming out at the end of this month, but then I should be back on track and I think pay increases take effect at the end of July too - and bonuses. These haven't been announced yet but my boss has made it pretty clear what he's going to try to get me. If that's correct, my savings target will increase to over £1,000 per month, but I'd already built this into my yearly target for this challenge.
Here's to getting back on track - looks like that's the theme around here!0 -
No 46 reporting £750 this month. I now calculate my savings figure by taking the difference in my net savings/bank accounts last month from this month and it is £752 but I like round figures
Strangely enough I thought with downward pressure on investments due to Brexit my portfolio would be down but as at today it is actually up £3-400! Weird but it is a well diversified fund and based in USA so does not look to be unduly affected so far.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
