When you set up a DD can you name the amount and date during the process?
I`ve logged in and it and they want name, account number and sort code and then it says submit.
If I press submit, does it then let me name the amount and date taken?

From memory I think it was all on the same screen but cant be sure as it is a few days ago. I set the date and amount. I was paying Avro £74 per month so hopefully £100 should be enough.

Once your Octopus account is set up, there's a "change my payments" option.

OK. Thanks. I don't get that option so looks as though the account is not fully set up yet.

  • I'm in a similar situation but, although I am able to log in to the new account, I am not able to set anything up because they say they don't yet have my address. So I'm just waiting for them to import data from Avro.

    Same here.

My personal details may be correct, but until I can see my address alongside them as well, I am setting up nothing.

Thanks everybody but I think I`ll hang fire for now with the DD.
I want to know how much and when.

It seems odd that there are different strokes for different folks here. I suspect it might be a browser setting making a difference. I tend to keep my Firefox browser locked down as tight as possible so may have overdone it for the Octopus site. I can wait.

I use Chrome but just tried Edge and the same result,
name, account number and sort code and then it says submit.

    UPDATE 2PM FRIDAY 8TH OCTOBER

Yesterday's update is still most relevant today (copied below).

However, as we head towards the weekend (where we will continue to work 24 hours helping Avro customers and continuing the work to move them to our systems), a thank you from the Octopus Energy team to the Avro Energy team, who we were allowed to meet for the first time on Tuesday and who despite the tough times they've been through, have been incredible at learning our systems in super quick time, and helping look after thousands of Avro customers this week. Basically, you guys rock.

If nothing else this proves that the "rot" was only at the top of Avro.
