Since the tariff rates have not been announced, what base amount is to be used to measure any increase. You may well be correct but I won't be convinced until I am told by Octopus what the tariff rates are.Why have they been resolute in not revealing the actual rates to be associated with our prospective tariff?EditFortunately, a £10 pa increase from the assumed Oct v2 will not be too significant but one is starting to get the feeling Octopus is just wiley as Avro were.

MSE seem to know which tariff we shall be going on.

It is the one that most forum users have expected/predicted it to be.
Apparently, the tariff Avro customers are moving to is exclusive to them, so the test, I suppose, would be whether a non-Avro customer could sign up to this tariff.Flexible Octopus October 2021 v2

Description
Flexible Octopus offers great value and 100% renewable electricity. As a variable tariff, your prices can rise and fall with wholesale prices - but we'll always give you notice of a change, and you can switch to a fixed tariff at any time.

I think most of us are aware of the tariff rates which are being assumed. The question, for some of us, is which rates we will actually be paying and why hasn't Octopus disclosed them to former Avro customers yet. We will be advised when the first statements are produced but it would be nice to know about them now.

Expect a whopping increase in price if on Flexible Octopus next April which applies to most of us. Prices might be more than double what we were paying Avro.

Don't worry, our illustrious Chancellor says this crisis is just transitory. Ho, ho, ho!

Before their collapse, I would submit my meter readings to Avro on 7th.Is there any point, or will those of us recently switched, have 26th as their billing date?0

As long as you enter meter readings for the 26th September you do not need to do anything further.I can't answer the billing date question as that information has not as yet been forthcoming from Octopus. Similarly for Avro customers who cancelled their Direct Debit with Avro but who have set up a new Direct Debit with Octopus no information has been provided by Octopus as to which date the new DIrect Debit will be taken from your bank.

I'm just living the dream for now knowing that my payment of £140 due on the 21st of this month will not be going out. Then when that dream ends I expect my new monthly payment to be at least £240, maybe as high as £300. I'm certainly in no rush for Octopus to set up my new account and haven't been checking for any 'updates' what is the point, really?0

Unfortunate that we don't know exactly what that will be yet, but all indicators are it will be very close to their standard Flexible tariff, so we can get a good idea of cost. Hope you have credit with Avro which will offset your bill when it comes.
