That is the one we have been suggesting in various posts on here for a while. The full name of the tariff is 'Flexible Octopus October 2021 v2', the previous version is not available to any new customers as it is not a current tariff.1

Plugged the figures into my spreadsheet and it gives a monthly figure of £88 compared to the £65 I was paying Avro. Doesn't look too bad but it's an extra £276 a year. Looks like a good time to give up alcohol...MWT said:That is the one we have been suggesting in various posts on here for a while. The full name of the tariff is 'Flexible Octopus October 2021 v2', the previous version is not available to any new customers as it is not a current tariff.0 -
And not too much headroom under the cap for major increases until April - assuming the cap remains unchanged until then.

OK if Octopus knows your actual usage.wrongplanet said:

If everyone is on £10 below cap, then a DD of £105 a month is more likely.0 -
Ran a few myself but need to see what their calculations for meter readings gas units to kwh is the same, I understand there can be a few conversion factors different, I think?wrongplanet said:

Either way the fixed tariff available now puts me 900 nicker a year over what I am paying now (twice virtually what I am paying now).
Which raises the issue of stick or twist. Fixed will be very painful though doable but anyone have a working crystal ball they can lend me for next year?0 -
Only gas meter readings need conversion.1 imperial gas unit = 31.7 kWh roughly1 metric gas unit = 11.2 kWh roughly. The actual conversion value depends slightly on the CV used each month.I would expect something more like a 50% increase, rather than double, unless you've been under-paying until now.

Yeah, I know the conversion is gas only. Old meter, some maths to run through for the conversion to kwh and I noticed some suppliers would be ever so slightly different in one of the requirements. I just like to have my spread sheet bang on the same page as the supplier.Consumerist said:Only gas meter readings need conversion.1 imperial gas unit = 31.7 kWh roughly1 metric gas unit = 11.2 kWh roughly. The actual conversion value depends slightly on the CV used each month.I would expect something more like a 50% increase, rather than double, unless you've been under-paying until now.
Increase is from my fixed avro to the new octopus fixed. Awaiting confirmation of the variable which of course seems a lot better. I don't diddle my meter readings, I pay everything as per and run comparisons on bills to my spread sheets to make sure they tally.0 -
I have been trying to input my opening meter readings on the Avro site since 1 October when they should have taken my account over with no success. Is there a way of doing this or should I just wait till Octopus contacts me?0

Have you not receive an email from Octopus with a link so you can give your meter readings? If not check your junk mail.1

No email, I have checked my junk Mail. My date to be transferred was 1 October, should I wait for Octopus to contact me or should I email them?0
