Avro Energy is ceasing to trade. Ofgem, the energy regulator, is appointing a new supplier for its customers. Customers need not worry, their supplies are secure and domestic credit balances are protected. Ofgem’s advice is not to switch, but to wait until they appoint a new supplier for you. This will help make sure that the process of handing customers over to a new supplier, and honouring domestic customers’ credit balances, is as hassle free as possible for customers. Support and advice is available on the Ofgem website for both domestic customers and non-domestic customers. Alternatively, if customers need additional support, they can call Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or email them via their webform. Advice will also be shared on Ofgem’s twitter @ofgem and facebook channels. 0

            Here we go again.
A colleague says that he heard it said, on the radio recently, that the SOLR would keep customers transferred to them on the previous suppliers tariff (if it was fixed), until that tariff ends.
 Can anyone confirm that?0

I don't think that's likely given the huge loss on our tariffs. We may stay on the old tariff for a few weeks until we're switched over.JohnB47 said:Here we go again.

OK everyone remember to take meter readings, and "consider" cancelling direct debits a few working days before they are due next month. Ofgem advice is not to, but I regretted letting Breeze take another £100 3 weeks after collapsing when I already had a hefty credit, and then waiting months for British Gas to give it back.1

 No. That's not the case.

I am 650 in credit with AVRO
What is the best thing to do? Look elsewhere now or wait till we get a new supplier.
Will the new supplier be expensive or cheap? If expensive, isnt it worth looking elsewhere now0

My switch to Avro Energy is due to complete in 8 days. Will my switch be cancelled?0

I think it will complicate your refund if you try to switch away now.xlnc99 said:I am 650 in credit with AVRO
