Back to my original Q how is SVT paid?Never been on their SVT so I'm guessing it's just the same as for a fixed tariff, paid monthly, except they can vary the charges after 30 days' notice.Yes, it looks like £20 per month if they continue in business.

There is also mention of a 'late payment fee' but I'm not sure that could apply while your account is in credit. But this is Avro and who knows what tricks they may employ if they are going under anyway.

I think the end for Avro is nigh. Don't you?

I'm pretty sure that will definitely be the final nail in the coffin for Avro. The combination of non existent customer service, customers leaving or attempting to leave in droves, no ability to acquire any new customers and Ofgem and Elexon on their backs is a powerful mixture.Perhaps Ofgem will finally learn what due diligence actually means and not issue Operator's Licenses to clueless kids who are barely out of short pants.I think their expected lifespan can now probably be measured in hours. It was good while it lasted but you'd better buckle up as we're in for a bumpy ride!0

Just had the Dear John letter too!! The old cynic in me suggests doing at least the email so there's a record there. After saying that i've never had a problem with them and i've being there over 3 years now and changed tariff 3 or 4 times now with no issue.
I jumped on the Sainbury's 2 year on Monday night with the logic at least i was buying a couple of weeks time to decide with regards to cooling off period. I've resisted smart meters till now but i think this new tariff will require them which i'm not over the moon about.
Quick question guys...if i confirm with Avro that i want to leave can i still contact them later but still within the 14 days if i change my mind??0 -

I joined Avro a month ago, just before the proverbial hit the fan.Not had a final bill (yet) from my previous supplier as apparently Avro didn't fully complete the national database.
Don't have a changeover reading from Avro and had no replay to emails. There telephone support/complaints line is closed.I agree, it seems their days are numbered.Nice to save.0 -
