Avro Energy reviews: Give your feedback

My Simple and Superflow tariff is due to expire next week.
Last month, Avro contacted me inviting me to renew via their Simple and SuperPrime tariff.
After comparisons with other providers, I decided to renew and selected the start date for the new tariff as the date my current tariff ended.
Alas, statement has come through and appears they have transferred me over from the date I agreed to renew, ignoring the start date selected.
Emailed 11 days ago, challenging why I'm on the new tariff already (more expensive) - no reply to date.
May have to be careful how much I push it though if it is no longer available, as would not have been available at end of previous tariff.0 -

Last time I looked it came up with a better deal for me than the Citizens Advice line. I forget offhand if it was possible to switch directly from the MSE web site with or without the cashback. I'd be interested to know what MSE makes of the various Avro disguises ..

If I as a new customer ask Avro for a quote, the "choice " is Simple and SuperPremier - period. I don't know if that is better than what existing customers are offered. It's not competitive for me, compared with my existing tariff, but not way out.compared with other offers on the market currently.
PS Can someone who likes Smart Meters tell me the justification taking into consideration all the hassle reported on in this thread?Telegraph Sam

Last month, Avro contacted me inviting me to renew via their Simple and Superpremium tariff.
After comparisons with other providers, I decided to renew and selected the start date for the new tariff as the date my current tariff ended.

I was alert to ensure this didn't happen to me, but the date for renewal in the quote was my actual new start date of 20th Feb (my current contract expires on the 19th Feb) so I didn't need to change anything, and my renewal letter has come through with 20th Feb as my start date too, so there doesn't appear to be any problem (unless, of course, my next statement shows they've already switched me, in which case they'll be getting a strongly-worded email!). If your renewal pack shows the start date you selected then they really don't have a leg to stand on.0 -

AngelicKaty said:Yes, that does seem to be the logical explanation (I was quoted it on 8th Jan) and to be fair, I've never gone looking for SuperPremium before so it could have been around for a while and, as you say, only very recently withdrawn. SuperPremier would be more expensive for me too. However, I do wonder why Avro didn't quote me for the two (still available) tariffs that the CA website show as the cheapest for me - Simple and MSuperSavvy12M and Simple and USuperSavvy12M - but I've now emailed Avro to ask, so we'll see what they say. Maybe it'll turn out that I should trust Avro when they say they continuously offer their customers the cheapest tariffs available.
