Your computer doesn't seem to be recognising the space character and is cutting off the rest of the filename. Hence why it's not recognising the file as a PDF.

All of which "masks" the underlying problem of the user's account balance, visible or invisible via PDF's or whatever, getting out of sync with reality in the form of the true consumption figures. Tonik Energy (may be not alone) were known for encouraging users to build up excessive credit balances, I suspect to assist their own cash position, and the point came when I simply suspended (cancelled) the D/D until things got back into line. I doubt that they liked this but I don't think they, or for that matter Avro, would be in a strong position to object if the credit balance was more than say a month's advance consumption. In the case of a debit balance then the onus is on Avro & co to show that this is readily viewable by the consumer regardless of which operating system he or she is using.Telegraph Sam

That must be the answer. Many thanks.Mind you, note that that the file you quoted takes three different approaches - space character deleted, space character left in and then, twice, space character replaced by underscore. ...0 -

Just to close this issue down. It is a Firefox filenames-with-spaces problem that's been rattling around for about a year. Mozilla fixed it for attachments, then they fixed it for torrents. Eventually they'll fix it for downloads - maybe. No problem with Chrome; no problem with IE11. A shame - I (used to) like Firefox. ...0

You should be seeing the full filename and extension when you do 'Open with' and you are not:0 -
This shows you the change you need to make to your Windows operating system to make the filename extensions visible0
