  • My simple and superfixed runs out Feb 21, I should have jumped on their simple and superflow before it was pulled but it was showing £11 more expensive, nothing really in the grand scheme and that mistake could cost me, now I'm thinking do I wait it out or maybe even go separate suppliers? Having said that I do like Avro, they seem fair and prices reasonable, maybe they will bring out another decent tariff Jan 21, I read somewhere prices are dipping although that could have been a dream I had lol.
  • A lot can happen in the 5 months you have left so I would sit tight for now. Any saving is definitely better in your pocket than theirs!
Prices are only going one way at the moment and with winter round the corner there's no sign of that changing any time soon.

That is true;...however, sometimes it can be financially prudent to switch early to a slightly more expensive tariff while it’s still available,...thus grabbing another  full 12-months at a fixed rate.

It’s all about timing and trying to predict when, and how quickly, prices will rise;...it’s not an exact science and far from easy.

Yeah and that was my mistake, I missed the deal lol. Never mind 'eyes peeled' time me thinks.

You could have renewed your simple and superfixed for another 12months any time up to it was pulled at the end of May.
  • Is there a best way to contact Avro, daughters account needs looking at,
Avro are over estimating her gas bill and ignoring her meter readings,
ie: last reading was 1242 and Avro estimate 1624. She is now £220 in credit at £58 month d/d.

To be fair to Avro she has not being giving regular readings :#

I used    support@avroenergy.zendesk.com       when querying my recorded readings and they resolved it quickly. All by email.

I submit monthly meter readings and they’ve always used them.  I’ve once made a mistake and transposed two didgits on a reading , leading to a higher monthly bill.  I called them by phone, 20 minute wait but my error was dealt with there and then, no quibble, and a new bill with the correct reading was issued for that month while I was on the phone.   Seemed like pretty much perfect service to me.
  • I've emailed them about a problem - issue solved but took 3 weeks for a reply.
Also phoned them today about another issue, 25 mins on hold but once again problem solved.
Issues weren't anything to do directly with them and always good at helping... just need to speed up them response times!

Daughter phoned them this morning, account sorted and is now £331 in credit lol.
She has now emailed them requesting a £200 refund so should leave enough to cover higher winter bills.
    Will keep this thread updated.
