"Simple and UGlow" doesn't yield results in an online search, so it's probably a tariff exclusive to Uswitch (note the U in UGlow) that happens to work out a bit more expensive in your case.0

Hate to ask this, not knowing the facts, but are you doing your own number crunching when doing comparisons, or relying on search engine projections?? I take these now as first indications only and never to be taken at face value. It wouldn't surprise me if the latter did indeed lead to discrepancies.

The only comparison site I`ve come across with all the tariffs is citizens advice.1 -

I've noticed that if I do a price comparison directly with AVRO the price is about £55 per annum less than a price comparison website.
Is this normal and correct or is it possible AVRO are not giving me the correct amounts which may encourage me to switch? In my experience Avro’s website is 100% accurate with regard to quotes etc.

The only comparison site I`ve come across with all the tariffs is citizens advice. It may be shown on the Avro site as one of their available tariffs, but that doesn't mean they will offer it to you directly.Has anyone seen it offered directly by Avro or via other comparison sites?0 -

for your postcode, why wouldn`t they then offer you it?0 -

Lots of energy companies do this.Same with insurance companies, your renewal is probably far more expensive than the quotation they will offer to a new customer.0 -

for your postcode, why wouldn`t they then offer you it?It’s a reasonable question I guess. That drop-down list contains 7 Avro tariffs that are appended with ‘Currently Available’... four of which are (I assume ) only available if you access them via the appropriate price comparison website;...provided you can actually locate said comparison website that is.
The other three tariffs appended ‘Currently Available’ are Avro’s SVR tariff, a Pay as You Go tariff and a final mysterious tariff called ‘Simple&Superconnect’.
Conversely Avro’s current go-to tariff ‘Simple&Superglow’ is not marked ‘Currently Available’... even though it obviously is.
I dunno;...perhaps Avro need to catch up on their housekeeping or sumfink.

Simple and Superglow which was available this morning (at least in my area) on Avro site has now been pulled and replaced by Simple and Superconnect.
Is there any comparison sites that can switch you to Avro?
I don`t think Avro pay any of them to switch you and that`s why many of them don`t even include Avro in their calculations.2 -

I’ve just done a renewal quote via Avro’s website;...Simple&Superconnect is about £40/yr more than Simple&Superglow for me so I’ll be staying put. I’ve still got almost 12-months left to run on Superglow.
As for comparison site switching, I’m no expert whatsoever but I’ve noticed a few incentive driven Avro tariffs over the years but they never seemed particularly competitive and were always more expensive than switching directly via Avro’s own website.
I assume (perhaps wrongly) that the extra tariff cost on the comparison sites is calculated to offset any commission/cashback etc that Avro would need to pay.
