There ought to be a service response hassle rating 0 - 5 alongside price mentioned prominently on the search engines results (ideally)
    There is !

How very interesting - except that as you see Avro is positioned in almost the top slot - AND Tonik is given 5* s for ease of switching!! I fear that a certain amount of salt is required in taking this data at face value, useful as it should be.

There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know
  • What's the latest with AVRO then? Are they worth switching to?
I've noticed that if I do a price comparison directly with AVRO the price is about £55 per annum less than a price comparison website.
Is this normal and correct or is it possible AVRO are not giving me the correct amounts which may encourage me to switch?
  • The plot thickens!!  Obviously given the same inputs the info from Avro direct must be more binding that what the search comparison predicts.  Which website was this?  No substitute for getting the unit rates and putting these into your own spreadsheet. I got a phone / email  quote from "Orbit" recently which when I worked through the maths turned out to be totally illusory! Again, saving a few £'s  per annum is not worth it if it is at the expense of customer service.

Avro are fine IMHO.  Why so coy?  Is it the same tariff, and what's the comparison website?  Avro removed Simple and Go12M on Friday so the comparison site may not have been updated during the bank holiday period.
  • Avro's website Sam and Uswitch.

No idea what 'Sam' is, but Uswitch and Avro gave exactly the same result for me, although the Avro website throws a wobbly if you have E7 and are with Neon Reef.
  • Sam is the earlier poster Gerry.
Just done them again the Citizens Advice one is coming up with the same as Avro on the 12m fixed called Simple and Superglow but Uswitch is still about £55 more although they call it Simple and UGlow 12M.
