Just discovered that Firefox doesn't like NHS Video Call, either. A shame that browsers are fragmenting.
    Many thanks for the comments.

    Avro`s new website.
I can`t seem to find their prices anymore.
You used to be able to scroll to the very bottom and click on prices but it doesn`t work now.
  • The link is still there but now goes to a Error 404 page. The only way to see any current prices is by getting a renewal quote.
It may be intentional but hopefully they will fix the link on their website soon.

Looks like you have to get an online quote to see what they offer, and then you only see the one tariff they suggest.
Maybe they got tired of having to constantly update the website as they bring out new tariff, which they do regularly. :)

I'd just be happy if they'd generate bills - I've submitted meter readings each month on time, but not had a statement since 1st July.  I've just emailed them to ask for the intervening ones to be generated.  I keep my own records, so I know what I've used/what it will cost, but their accounting is so strange that they rarely tally anyway.

Yet, for my own home account (the Avro one is for an estate property I'm preparing to sell, so I'm not faffing with changing at this stage) with Octopus, I send a meter reading and within a couple of hours, I get a bill and it is almost always exactly the same as the number I'd calculated.  Within tuppence at most.
  • Is there a best way to contact Avro, daughters account needs looking at,
Avro are over estimating her gas bill and ignoring her meter readings,
ie: last reading was 1242 and Avro estimate 1624. She is now £220 in credit at £58 month d/d.

To be fair to Avro she has not being giving regular readings :#

Daughter phoned them this morning, account sorted and is now £331 in credit lol.
She has now emailed them requesting a £200 refund so should leave enough to cover higher winter bills.
    Will keep this thread updated.

Update, daughter got her £200 refund on Friday, so 16 days in total.

  • Just had an email re an offer to upgrade my old BG SMETS1 ‘smart’ meters to SMETS2 - coming a week on Tuesday - watch this space 😊

The missing prices page discussed earlier is back online with a new link https://customer.avroenergy.co.uk/Prices
They also appear to have launched Simple and SuperPrime to replace Simple and SuperConnect although I don't when they did this.
Both gas and electricity prices have gone up.

The link in the email notification  for the above doesn't work.

For some reason, the notification has dropped the dot that is in the posting.
Has anyone found any good points about the system MSE has foisted upon us?

Just checked it now and edited it by removing the fullstop and putting it back in - it now works.
The mysteries of copy/pasting links. :)
