There are plenty of posts on here, by people that have done so, that tell you that if you are already with Avro and want to switch tariff at any time, you can do so without penalty, even if you`re on a fix rate tariff.

New AVRO tariff available today. I only changed 2 weeks ago but for my post code electricity price has dropped by about 2% and gas by 2.7% saving me another £30 a year. So if you have not changed in the last month it could be worth doing now.

Well spotted - "Simple and SuperFixed" saves me money as well, and I only switched to " Simple and SuperFlow" a couple of weeks ago.

I switched about two weeks ago.
How soon can I switch again?
I`ve just done a quick check on MSE cheap energy club and as yet it doesn`t show this new tariff.
  • You can switch immediately as there are no exit fees involved.

Go direct to Avro's website and select "Get A Quote" don't forget to change "Your new tariff will begin on" date to today's date. Enter meter readings online today so there's a record of your starting readings for the start of the new contract.

Unless MSE Cheap Energy Club have fallen out with Avro I'm sure the Simple and SuperFixed tariff will appear shortly - probably Monday as I don't think Avro know what a weekend is!

Just a heads up energy prices still falling so AVRO have brought out yet another cheaper fixed tariff with no Exit Fees Simple & Super Fixed. Only a small saving this time but may as well have. Instructions as before:

    Get Quote
Key in Post Code etc and it will recognise you as an existing customer and ask you to log in
New Quote will be displayed BUT ensure you over type RENEWAL DATE to todays date
    Click renew and all done
  • My Simple and MSE Collective is due to run out on the 20 March so I've just started looking around at the options. Cheapest on MSE Cheap Energy Club (with Ok or better scores) was Yorkshire Energy, although some quite negative reviews on here recently. However, Avro don't seem to appear anywhere on the Cheap Energy Club, despite their Simple and SuperFixed tariff being even cheaper that Yorkshire Energy (and £440 less than I'm paying on my present Avro tariff).
Have MSE and Avro fallen out or what? I've been with them for over 2 years and never had any problems. Have emailed Avro to double check that they won't charge me an exit fee if I swap to their new tariff early.

The CEC shows Avro for me.  However, Avro only supply dual fuel so they won't show up if you ask for anything else.

They have good reason to. Look back through this forum and you'll see that Avro failed to pay MSE their intro fee which funded the cashback on the collective switch. MSE did the decent thing and paid it themselves, then shortly afterwards Avro finally paid up and the people affected got 2x £25 cashback. What's most likely happened is the SuperFlow tariff has ended and been removed but the new SuperFixed one isn't yet being listed.

I emailed support@avro earlier this week asking about this and still haven't had any kind or response. So I signed in last night to get a renewal quote and the given start date was the day my existing MSE Collective tariff ends.
[Edit] I now see there's a Change button that I missed late last night. Sorry.

It's not currently listed for me.
