Do their tariffs come with compulsory smart meter fitting or can i keep my old meters?

    Thank you.

Had it confirmed by email about a month ago, that they are still not rolling out SMART meters.:)

I don't read this board as often as I should:o but glad I popped in today.

Thanks for the heads up on the new(ish) tariff. Saving is £10 pm so I've switched as from tomorrow.

We were in credit £130 ish end of December and probably a bit more by now. Readings sent in yesterday so should get up to date statement next week. At what level of credit do people request a refund, bearing in mind its still winter:(

I guess Avro don't believe my readings as meter reader came this morning. Or maybe visit is as a result of my tariff switch from 1st Feb:cool:

My account is currently showing credit over £220, but they haven't yet generated my 30/1/20 statement based on my readings.

I`ve noticed they only read the meters once a year around Jan/Feb.

They generally produce a bill around the 5th of each month.

I submitted my readings to them as normal on the 25th of last month. My statement still wasn't available 7 days later so I rang them incase there was a problem.

Turns out it was some sort of glitch on the system and the agent generated January's statement there and then while I was on the phone to him.

I had a guy turn up to read the meter(s) in November (about 6 weeks after I'd switched to Avro) - he didn't know who he was reading the meters for - but his readings have never appeared in my Avro records.:)
PS First time the meters had been read since 2016 !
  • Been with them about a year so far, no mention of fitting smart meter yet - and they'll have fun if/when they call about fitting one. "Have you got a SMETS2 3 phase domestic meter yet, and someone 3 phase qualified to fit it?" - if not, don't call back until you have!

Are the meters inside the house?

    Non conformity
same thing happening with electric car charging points.
    Different types and not enough.
  • New one with Avro - got an email yesterday saying they'd be taking a direct debit on the 10th and giving the amount they'd be taking - first time I've had this! The amount is £5-6 less than I was expecting/have been paying for months. Wonder if this is a one off or a new feature of their system.

Had exactly the same experience - DD has reduced even tho' my credit has steadily reduced since October - reckon I'll have zero credit when I submit readings on the 18th, so I wonder what will happen next ??
