Avro Energy reviews: Give your feedback

Hi. Hope to help with feedback.:) Signed up with AVRO - a month to go on my contract with previous supplier RAM. Welcome email good, switch in 3 weeks, DD registered and first payment to be taken - all as explained online and in email. Registered my online account. Meter read request received and submitted on date as requested. Meter readings appeared on my online account, and were submitted to RAM - as I received closing account using them :T First meter read requested and submitted on date, first opening bill received - but they call it a statement;) No problems to date, I even sent an email - seeking clarification of a minor detail, and got a reply on the same day, with accurate info supplied. So all seems good, and the tariff is excellent. So really pleased.:j0

I have been on the simple and winterfix seasonal since March and was due to have my payments increase from this month for the next six.
Thankfully I was able to switch over to the Simple and SuperSave from yesterday and now have fixed monthly payments at a even better rate.
I am approx one and a half months payments in credit but will keep an eye on whether I need to top it up any.0 -
I have been with Avro for two years. They have a very clear and easy website, that has always worked well. I have no complaints and have no hesitation to recommend. They seem to have had a problem with the regulator over smart meters, which does not affect me. From what I know the smart meter world is not without problems, so who knows who is right. I like them.0

Have been with Avro for 12 months. Very pleased. Following an email that my 12 month fix was due to end I checked their new ‘simple and super save’ and my payments drop by £20 per month!...
My only issue is: Why doesn’t the ‘cheap energy club’ show these rates with Avro? In fact it doesn’t show Avro at all!!
I very nearly defected to another Company. Come on MSE update the cheap energy club deals please.0 -

It does show Avro, but you have to choose Dual Fuel because that's all Avro offers.
I did but it didn’t..i.e in my list of results it didn’t show at all...and yet it is the cheapest(in my case).
It did show after I changed settings .i.e when I wasn’t worried about good/bad reviews etc. Even when I specified my current provider it didn’t show initially.
Anyway don’t wish to argue but I know what I saw0 -

It's no longer the white knight always giving unbiased ethical advice and putting the consumer first.0 -
Sadly the CEC is starting to use the same old tactics as the other commercial sites, e.g. not covering the whole market (Symbio, etc) and giving priority to the suppliers that pay commission.
It's no longer the white knight always giving unbiased ethical advice and putting the consumer first.
Yes, it did make me wonder about that. Money does talk! I am getting very cynical unfortunately.
Anyway just to repeat Avro offer good prices and have an ‘easy to use’ website and always remind you about meter readings. No stress, very happy0 -
I switched to Avro in October 2017 and apart from a few minor niggles, I'm generally happy with them. Their email response times seem to have speeded up.
I sent meter readings on 29th October & they've issued statement as at 30th October (over £200 in credit).
Tariff was due to end later this month but yesterday, quote showed Simple & Supersave would be cheaper, so I switched to that, effective from today, and they've reduced my DD.
Question: should I send in updated readings today, or just accept their split when they issue the next statement?. I won't be able to submit readings at the end of this month as I'll be out of the country.0 -
