Have been a customer with them for three years and up till recently have had no problems. However they upped my payments to £100 per month from £91 when I renewed my tariff with them in February this year. My account was around £300 in credit with them by October this year. I asked for a refund to leave a realistic balance in my account but they would only give me £90. After complaining they reduced my repayments down to £90 but have refused any further refund or repayment despite me still being over £150 in credit. I have therefore decided to leave and have switched to Bulb.0

I'm no fan of Avro, but that carried-forward balance doesn't seem to be excessive at this time of the year.0 -
That was merely for not foisting smart meters on to their customers, so that's a plus point in my book.
They only supply dual fuel. If you select that option they will appear on MSE.
I've been with AVRO for over 2 years …. no problems and consistently near the cheapest rates.
As above ….I logged on to CEC today and can not see any of their tariffs in the comparisons and I expected to see AVRO in the first 6 or so. I have dual fuel ticked! In fact it really ought to be No. 4 in the list for my inputs/results.
This is a slight problem as Avro don't tell you if they introduce a new cheaper tariff … you have to look yourself … and do it regularly! You can just get a quote on their website … but why has it disappeared from CEC?0 -

They show on CEC for me. That's with Monthly DD under payment method and "All" under MSE Customer Service Rating, as CEC wiped it clean when OFGEM banned them from taking new customers on for a while.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Thanks victor2 ….. I've tried your settings, and even tried resetting my settings and Avro still don't show for me. I wonder if it's related to the fact that I am already with Avro that they do not show ….. a bit odd if that is the case.
I've emailed CEC admin with a query, and will report anything pertinent.0 -
Re meter readings to Avro -make sure you enter your readings on the due date (as per the email reminder). Entered my readings on the morning after the third day and they have ignored them for the statement, using estimates which are well over the actuals!
Not bothered as it will come back next month but I suspect that missing two or three months COULD result in a "computer says No" response if the actuals are now well below their estimates.0 -

The meter reading reminder email Avro send out is misleading and in my experience is not always sent out to you on the correct date. I've even had the email arrive up to 3 days late and on one occasion it was not sent to me at all.To avoid estimated billing we are asking if you could read your meter and send us the readings within the next three days.0 -
My contract start was 20th, and I've submitted meter readings on 18th, 19th and 20th (different months) without problems! Have also had 3-4 emails with them recently and had replies within 24 hours!0

That isn't a problem. What doesn't work is when they send the reminder late. My date is the 12th. Very occasionally they have emailed me late (13th) telling me to submit my reading within 3 days. They have also forgotten to send an email at all. That seems to screw up the system.
I like the monthly readings / bills, and should probably get used to sending readings on the 12th regardless, but generally take my cue from the email, which hasn't always proved reliable.0 -

The tarrif listed on CEC currently has cashback, it is probably hidden if you have your supplier listed as Avro as you wouldn't be eligible for the cashback.0
